I'm playing Revelations now for the first time, I guess I don't have much of a problem with most of that. The hook and bombs don't add much, but you can ignore them for the most part too (aside from the zip lines, but those are useful).
I haven't had a problem with guards at all, stealth has still been very viable if you use your assassins, poison darts, crossbow, etc... You can't pull a no kill run, there's no non-lethal take down, which is annoying, but you can get through just about anything with stealth. It does feel a bit bloated, though, I agree with that. There's so much side stuff to collect and do, it's more than the main game by far.

I'm done with the majority of the side stuff (all shops bought, most buildings bought, all AWFUL Desmond sequences done, all manuscripts found and special armor obtained, all Assassin's recruited and about half upgraded fully) and I'm midway through sequence 6. There's a lot of what feels like busy work, I'll give you that, but I just so happen to enjoy that in AC games. That I can see getting annoying, but none of it is required.
The story isn't as strong, though, I'll agree there, but I've never really played the AC games for their stories. They're interesting enough, but that's about it.

I thought Ezios games were pretty neat storywise. Especially with the evil twins and such. Suliman, the way to obvious love interest he picked up from the boat, etc just felt forced to tick some boxes. Ezio should have ended in Italy. He just feels out of place.
Only thing I did really like were the dungeons. I want more of that pop stuff.

ONE FUCKING BOX
|
My dad saw a couple of ads for it and was like "do you have this?"
I'm still pissed about about the shit that goes with this game. 360 version being gimped and all and I said I'd wait until it was a bargain bin title. But I preordered it. The deal was just too retarded to pass up. The Microsoft Store made shit hard this week all around.

While I will pick this up, I doubt I'm going to rush to do it, the SEVEN editions of the game and all the pre-order bs has made me just think I'll avoid any spoilers and pick it up second hand at some point.

Heck, next week is Okami HD, I'll be fine sitting this winter out without fullpriced purchases with that and the Dark Souls DLC
![]() I will play this as well, but indeed when it drops.

The Assassin's creed story is all over the place. I feel like they do a good job of summarizing it in this video. I have played all 4 games to 100% completion and I still learned major plot points from this video.

I didn't have much trouble following it, but that's probably because I spent FAR too much time reading the text portions accompanying buildings and structures, and generally immersed myself in each game in the series.
Hell, I even went to Italy and visited game locations.

It did get overwhelming, much like Mass Effect. But by Brotherhood I was playing the game in short stints, so it felt more episodic and thus not as dense.
That video was nice, though, especially as a teaser for this final chapter in Desmond's story. Thanks for posting it!

I've been on the fence about which version to get and for what system. Until today when I noticed that the PC digital deluxe edition get ALL missions offered in every version. This includes the 4 you get on the PS3. Plus, you get all the content offered in MP as well that's being offered in the retail editions. And since Ubisoft dropped their DRM policy, I'm really leaning toward getting it on PC.

Got my text from GS that the game will be available to pick up on Monday night.
But with this hurricane, there's no way I'll be able to go anywhere the next couple of days. Going to suck not being able to play it right away.

I played 95% of the first game, the entirety of the second, about 5% of the third and had no idea there was a fourth (fucking hell, it's like CoD). So that video was actually really helpful, though I'm worried this game is going to focus more on the Desmond stuff (which I personally find annoying) and less on the cool historical stuff.
Who am I kidding anyway. I have gamed less this year than most of you do in a day.
