In Other News...October 22
- The founder and president of a development studio in Utah has been sentenced to a year in prison for failing to actually pay his employees. David Rushton of Signal Sweep Studios (Tiger Woods 2005, Justice League Heroes) was convicted of failing to pay wages and payroll taxes, a rare criminal conviction for such acts.
- Hero Academy will be getting a new Shaolin faction in a November update. - Vigil Studios co-founder and Darksiders designer Joe Madureira has announced that he's leaving the studio. Madureira says he's going back to comics at least in the short term. - In an upcoming book on Blizzard, author David Craddock reveals that the company was at one point pondering a Diablo-in-space game. The game apparently never got beyond the prototype stage, and the full team went to work on other projects, likely including Diablo 3. - Your daily awesome: Disney characters turned into a combining mecha toy. ![]() |

Also the name of a little-known Nazi experiment.
Personally, I find the toy a little disturbing. Folding loveable creature into unnatural shapes is somewhat gross.

I thought LoL does some sneaky stuff with stream views, like the client automatically connects to a stream while queuing for a game.

I was just about to say the same thing. Now if they can fix the hiccups that they seem to be having with the servers of late...

I've been slacking with my games because of Blood Brothers so I haven't noticed the issues.

It's annoying on Steam because it acts like you've input the wrong password even when it is correct and doesn't just say, 'Sorry, our servers are down at the moment'. I'm not concerned overall. It has happened before from time to time but it was the frequency that I'd get these login errors over the past couple of days that worried me.
