Its probably a difference in usage patterns. I'm very inoften connected to WiFi for most of my day on Verizon LTE.

Ditto, I'm running CM10 M1 and I can get a solid 2 days with minor use and a little over a day with really heavy use. Do you use any form of app killer to swat down those pesky apps that insist on running?

I work from home so I'm on wifi 75% of the time (also Verizon). Plus I'm in a shitty 4G signal area so I'm constantly dropping between 4G and 3G which certainly doesn't help battery life.

I just moved to a cm10 offshoot (Liquid RC5). Pretty good battery life. But I was on nightly 10/14, 9/19, and M2. All had great battery life with my KT custom kernel.

You should be checking to see if a rogue app is keeping your phone awake.

I jump from ROM to ROM often. Currently on the latest nightly but I wouldn't mind moving to a less buggy ROM. The main issue I have so far is the insanely high in call volume and being unaffected by the volume rocker.

Engagdet just posted their review of three LG Optimus G models: The Korean, Sprint and AT&T variants.

Maybe look into Tasker and see if there is a way to help out with the 4g/3g issue.

Microsoft and Google have announcement events planned on the 29th and TMO just announced they will have a new product launch later on in the day. I figure the Galaxy Note 2 is at bat but I'm hoping Nexus device(s) come to light. Maybe they'll get that Samsung ATIV.

I caught both the T-Mobile announcement via their twitter feed, and Google's via engagdet.

I'm curious about the rumors of possible _Nexus devices.

LG one is almost all but confirmed. Only shocker could be the 10in tablet, or other manufactures dropping a Nexus phone. I almost don't buy cause it's so quiet out there.

I know that engagdet has a news item in which they link to an international site that supposedly got their hands on (and reviewed) a prototype LG Nexus phone.

You know, I'd actually would be curious if T-Mobile themselves ever took a stab at manufacturing a Nexus phone with their own spin, given their support for android.

But like you, I'm thinking a LG Nexus myself.

I have to say announcements are fine and dandy. But I hope devices are ready to go real soon. I'm getting antsy for a new phone.

I seen the 32GB Nexus 7 is already a go for $250 in some Staples stores. I read talks about a shabby Nexus 7 8GB for $99 taking the place of the current 8GB. I doubt Google would make low tier Nexus 7 though for $99. Although, I think if the current 8GB dropped to $150, I'd go buy all kinds of tablets for Christmas. I was hoping the 8.9,9,or 10.1 version was getting announced.

Apparently it's leaked that it's the 32gb nexus 7 and LG Nexus. Possibly mentioning a Samsung Nexus 10.

I think I'm either going to step up to the LG Nexus or get one for my wife and receive her Galaxy Nexus. Both are significant improvements over my Nexus S, which is definitely feeling a bit long in the tooth.

I'm also thinking all throw both of them in the preorder cart on the 29th.

I wonder what TMO talking about. Note 2, reckon is the trick they'll have up their sleeve. Really wanted that huge screen and stylus but I think it's time to go home. Rooting only to have root access. No more roms.

CyanogenMod logged swipe gestures used to unlock Android devices:

Quote:
Gabriel Castro noticed an extra line of code that appears to have been added in August, when CyanogenMod was updated to make the grid size for screen locks configurable rather than fixed. In the process, the line was added, causing the unlock pattern to be recorded in a log file stored on the device.

"I'm really surprised nobody caught this," Castro wrote in comments accompanying a fix. An alternative to removing the line is adding a character to the code so it's treated as a comment and isn't executed. Either approach can be done "without breaking anything," he added.

So much for the recently touted security of swipe codes. :/

Monday is so far away.

Here is some art with the Galaxy Note 2 and the lesser version of Adobe Sketchpad.

Just picked up the Galaxy Note 2 from Sprint. With about 20 minutes on it, I really like it. Its big. I'm upgrading from the S2 (I didn't need an upgrade, but I sure as hell wanted it!). I need to get it customized to my liking and get my apps installed, but so far it is smooth. More so than my ICS S2. Its expensive, but I would have spent some of that on a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire. I figure this guy will fit the bill.

Glad to hear you're digging your new phone. Just read the TMo and Sprint Note 2s have dormant LTE radios (http://phandroid.com/2012/10/25/t-mo...xy-note-2-lte/), so they're actually a bit future proof.
