As for auditory hallucinations. I also have had some crazy ones from lack of sleep. I was allergic to breast milk when I was a child so i kept my parents up for weeks before they figured out what formula would work.

My mom said that she ended up having a pretty in depth conversation with a painting after 40+ hours of no sleep.
The ones I have usually involve a symptom called exploding head syndrome.

Lark had a professional photo shoot today (my girlfriend's client is a photographer and offered us 3 hours free!).

Photog wanted her natural (not even a diaper), so she proceeded to poop in everything we wrapped her in. Including this pretty shawl.

Pro-tip. Four hours. You need a block of 4 hours of sleep in one run (among the shorter 1-hour naps) or you're eventually hosed because you never hit REM cycles. For many cases where the little one is waking every 2 hours, that means you each have to fly solo at least once so that the other can keep sleeping.

WTF. Dude your photog is a god damned genius of epic proportions. I don't know if he swaddled her or gave her some alcohol but having a child sleep during those damn things is a miracle. Bravo to you AND to him.

Lol. For most of the three hour session, she yelled, screamed, pooped, and peed all over me. Mama is still recovering physically so it was up to me to clothe, change, reposition, console, and rock back to sleep. The photographer has children of her own, and was no slouch herself.
