Happy Wars. Free Xbox 360 Game

Microsoft and Major Nelson has recently announced a free-to-play Arcade game called Happy Wars.

Hey there is nothing wrong with a free 360 game. I played it last night. It was a pretty fun experience, it reminds me of Castle Crashers mixed with a bit of Pikimin. Oh and up to 30 players simultaneously? Cool. Just watch out for the server issues. The game is also worth 400 achievement points, for you junkies out there.

Go pick it up today!

I was in the beta and I enjoyed it alot.
My current favorite is Cleric, but I hop around, depending on what is needed.
I'm puttering around on it and even spent 5 bucks.
Edit: And for those wondering, the stuff you can purchase are equippable items, customizations, and buffs in game.
But it's done well enough that it doesnt really make someone overpowered.

On 360, yes. DC Universe Online and Free Realms were out on PS3 last year.

Well, is it truly F2P or not? That's all I am wondering.

That is actually a good question.

Xbox.com has it, but I can't purchase. It appears I have found a glitch.

I've played the tutorials and that's about it. Seems like a fun distraction, but I've got well too much going on to put any serious time into it.

I've had some fun in it so far. Tossed about 10 bucks into it for some card packs just to see what you got in those items. The random skills are kinda neat as well. I've enjoyed playing as the cleric so far, and had one match where it took the time to end it but we were at a stand still. The use of a team ult is kinda neat to see when everyone joins up. Having about 7 people for arrow fire was neat to watch, as well as the cleric's sing a long when 8 others are standing and singing with you.

Overall a fun game, something I"ll play more than I did Fat Princess when that came out.

I tried it out during the beta. I liked it but I kept thinking I really wanted some friends to play with. This will be a fun distraction with ADD and a few others if we find the time.

This game is a combination of chaotic, adorable, insane, and murderous. I am in love with it so far. Most combat is a crazy swing fest (or shoot fest if you're a mage) with a lot of chasing down of your enemies to see them crushed beneath your feat.

Seriously. It's like you took a battle scene from Braveheart and gave all the warriors Helium first. Certainly worth giving it a try.

I have to say, it's the best free game I've played since Aegis wing. Dorito's Crash Course was fun though too..

Haven't played past the tutorial yet, but I'm gonna put some time into it this weekend, and try out the Cleric and Mage a bit more.

Really suprised with the amount of content for a free game. The leveling/ item collecting is pretty addictive. This is pretty much what I wanted Fat Princess to be.

Some items can make you overpowered easy. Right now I picked up a booster pack of weapons and got a staff on my mage now that gives me lighting enchant always, attack power +2, and I added Destroy towers +2. Add in the armor I have and I'm crushing people. I just played a game where I came up with 2000+ points, and a score of 44-6.

I have been having a blast playing. Liking the Warrior so far, but I am getting the hang of Cleric and Mage. I hit level 5 last night. My only real issue that I seem to be having is the lobby and matchmaking are slow as hell. It will sometimes take 15 minutes to setup a 15 minute match. I would much prefer a quick match. Let me drop into a game.

We have had a few marathon sessions the last couple nights. I love the mage. I feel like everything clicks better for me with that class than the others. As for cleric, I don't feel like I make enough of an impact. I like it well enough and feel like I am doing something, but I don't feel like I can sway the battle with the cleric. As for the warrior, I don't know. I feel the potential, but I just don't feel like I handle the class well enough.

It is a great game overall. The only hiccup is the net code, which could use a real overhaul, but the stages themselves are great.

I do like the level layout and the way it plays once you are in. It does seem like you can get cheap/one shotted sometimes, but that might be an issue of me vs a higher level player decked out.

The warrior I can get kills in fairly easily, loved doing a dash last night on a rope bridge and knocking two enemies off into oblivion. The Mage, I am just starting to get into honestly, but I see where it can get better. Cleric is fun, but sometimes you feel very ineffective. I usually switch it up as the play progresses. Warrior in the beginning, Mage as we get closer to their castle and Cleric as we get to the castle if no one else seems to understand we need to act as a team. When it goes back to my castle, Mage or Warrior.

But yeah, the net code needs some help.
