Thanks for the tips, Gorvi and Santa. I'm happy to say it turns out I'm just extremely forgetful and left it in the bathroom. Another teacher dropped it off in the office, rather than leaving it in the teacher's lounge. I was able to track my phone down before I did something silly and started accusing people. It really depressed me to think my students would've stole from me, considering most of my kids seem to really appreciate my rather...comical and strangely blunt style of teaching. I'm glad it was just me being stupid, as the alternative would've ruined my day.
I made the mistake of telling my later classes and several students immediately went on a man hunt for my missing phone. I'm a bit flattered. Several students came up to me at lunch and insisted they wouldn't steal from me, which was really nice to hear from rebellious high school students. |

Write down their names. Next time something goes missing, rifle through their shit. I bet it'll be in there.

I didn't play much last night, I actually sat through the presidential debate somehow. I had the Vita while watching that, so I tried two things: the PlayStation All Stars beta and the Zero Escape demo again. The All Stars beta was far, far more enjoyable than I thought it would be, even if I did suck. I won a match or two, but that beta really should have had an offline practice mode to learn each fighter. The Zero Escape demo I actually enjoyed this time, probably because I gave it a fair shot. it has two modes, virtual novel and escape. I'm guessing the game is meant for multiple playthroughs, as it is very clear that if you take some options you can't escape, and that's the whole point of the game. Still, it was fun. So now I have two more damn Vita games I want to buy. Fuck. Quote:

On a totally unrelated note, I hope I never have to review a game about WW2 with my own father side saddle.

And that reminds me, tragedy struck our household last night: my old DS Lite, which my 5 year old had inherited, died. Well, I think it died, it no longer reads games. He brought it up to me when I walked in the door last night saying it wasn't working and he was right. Bleh, this sucks, now he's without a handheld aside from my old GBA SP. But that doesn't let him play Sonic All Stars Racing.

Different routes had different puzzles, different characters, and of course different endings. You had to play the first game at least twice to see most of the puzzles and conversations. Then a few more times to see the other endings, plus I think there were a few more puzzles during the True Ending route. I've avoided all information about VLR though, so I'm not sure how it's set up this time.
The Amazon page says that it has 24 endings. I plan on getting them all.

I'd say the same thing if there was a game about Cold War-era electronic warfare. It would be a very uncomfortable experience, because I imagine that the game itself would be very boring and listening to my dad extoll the virtues of various radar platforms would make the whole thing even worse.

What Wolfman said. I consider the true ending to be the good ending
![]() I'm keeping my head down with regards to Zero Escape too. I know it is the sequel to 999 and that's all I need to know. I was torn about whether to get it on 3DS or Vita, bit I'm going Vita unless someone can tell me a reason not to.

I could review the Deadliest Catch with my dad side saddle. Jesus that is what we need guys. A column where a Coger reviews a game with an oldster or someone who has detailed background on the particular game and timeframe. That would rock.

I had originally planned on going with the Vita, but now I'm getting it on the 3DS. The reason being that I already have a 3DS, and now I'm getting a new computer for Christmas instead of a Vita, so I wouldn't actually have the system to play it on. I'm actually crazy enough that I plan on getting the Vita version too once I get the system sometime next year.

Bit of a stressful day for some reason.
I woke up after rough night's sleep to finish prepping for the most oddly intricate midterm exam I've had in college, which required me to memorize the name, date, author, origin, and contents of 25 different documents. That was annoying. Plus, something about tests always shoots my tension level through the roof- even when (perhaps especially when) I'm well-prepared for them. On top of the exam stress, I came out of the house this morning to find footprints on the roof of my car. I've been annoyed with the kids in my neighborhood thus far, but now they've crossed a line. That's been bugging me all day. After the test, I got some lunch and sat on a stone bench outside to relax. I read for a bit, looked up, and noticed that there was an iPhone sitting alone where there used to be a pair of girls. I grabbed the phone and, noticing that the owner had been texting someone, told that person that I'd found the phone and wanted to return it to its owner. While that exchange was happening, the owner came back. I gave it to her. She took it without a word of thanks AND gave me a dirty look. What the fuckity fuck what?

Dude, you picked up the iPhone and were doing things with it. Exactly the same reaction a person would have if they came back and found you looking through their purse/wallet/backpack. It doesn't matter if your intentions were good, it's a massive invasion of privacy. Even if it was the only thing you could do in order to return it to them.
Doesn't make 100% sense, but I've run into the same thing. In other, oh-god-what-is-wrong-with-me news, I installed Wizardry 6 on my Transformer.
