Thanks guys! It took us 4 days to name her. We really really thought we were having a boy (based on nothing but hunches and dreams really).

Nice name. We named our girl Violet Lucille. Our back up first name was Zoey.

Take tons of pictures. Our girl is 10 weeks old this week and it is amazing how much she has grown in that short amount of time.

Also be ready for your heart to melt every time she does something new. Just a few nights ago she was sitting on my chest and for the first time grabbed a chew toy with purpose and put it up to her mouth on her own. I was so amazed I could have cried. It was a truely awe moment.

This, this, a thousand times this. The twins are 3 1/2 months old now, last night we were looking at all the pictures we've taken and it's astounding how much they grow and change even in that small period of time. Pictures, and video. Every smartphone in existence now has at the very least a decent camera and video recorder, take full advantage of that.

There are so many hilarious things newborns do. Lark is 'rooting' for anything remotely nipple shaped. Not much head control yet, so her head quickly wobbles around like Stevie Wonder. Then she got mad when she surprised me with a nursing attempt and it didn't work...

Got a pic of Lark's hand wrapped around my dad's finger that made both of us break a little bit. He doesn't show his cards often, but he finally told me he was pretty sure he wouldn't live to see a grandchild because of the cancer he was fighting up until last year.

Gorvi: I need to invest in one of those flip cam things. The phone is ok and my point and shoot camera is nice, but I realize I need a one-handed dedicated video recorder that just turns on immediately.
