  • Find a replacement for Windows Media Player - I’ve had this laptop for about two months, and already I’ve encountered Task Manager-unfriendly program freezes, restart-causing errors and now even a BSoD, all while using Windows Media Player. It’s time to eliminate that variable.
  • Buy a wired Xbox 360 controller - Jade Empire's just been taking up space since I downloaded it.
  • Get ready for National Novel Writing Month - I sat out last year and, although I wasn’t in much of a state to realize it, I really rather missed it. So, in addition to figuring out what my new project will be, I’d like to finish up the one I’m working on (or at least get to a good stopping point).
  • Decide how to break up with my girlfriend, if I do - If you don't hear from me again, I chose... poorly.
Is it weird that in this entire thing the above was all I saw instantly.

I reread "decide how to break up with my girlfriend, if I do."
The fuckity fuck fuck. That doesn't even make sense man.
Grab those balls and make a decision. If I needed someone to back me up in the coming apocalypse I was going to choose you. But no more.
NO FUCKING MORE!

The ending is different or so I read on the screen when I started playing, if you kill less people. I don't know how much the ending changes but thought I mention that.

I thought when you mentioned your time being deprioritized, you meant you were fired. I'm guessing you still are among the working at your family's business?

I wondered how long you were going to drag out this current relationship. You never sounded happy, actually I think you sounded more happy talking about OM and that is saying a lot

It's nice to see you pop in once a week. Maybe we will see you more again once you talk to the soon to be ex. Yeah, I hope you make that one out alive too.

I don't know man.
I don't know man.
How can you trust if what you are hearing is really what he is feeling?
"He has to decide how to break up with a girlfriend...if he does..."
That's like saying I need to decide how to wipe IF I decide to poop.

I personally think he is playing with our emotions, leading us on, and is actually happily married.

Also good media players I use that replace the windows one.

KM player, VLC, or media player classic(though I think this isn't around anymore)

VLC is great but god damn it is slower at everything than KM player. But it plays broken or corrupted files better. Classic has always just worked well.

I don't know, but there's comfort in its immutability.

What if I plead curiosity, Karak? She delivered me an ultimatum, and I’m kind of curious to see what’ll happen if I just coast on past the deadline. On the other hand, the ultimatum is the perfect opportunity to call it all off without having to tell her why I was going to in the first place (perhaps I have misplaced my balls, but I’m finding it difficult to say, “I find you to be a sexual freak.”). So, yeah, how to, if I do.

Am I back on the apocalyptic roster?

Honestly, it's surprising. There are really only a couple of things that keep this girl from being one of the more enjoyable I've dated, but more and more they just seem to weigh so heavy.

Ultimatums have only one response. Pure utter fucking destruction. Leave nothing unscared by the path of your mental weaponry.
IF she takes anything from this relationship it should be 1 thing.
Never give someone an ultimatum without realizing that Hiroshima was a small heating issue compared to a man's fury.

I believe Media Player Classic requires a codec pack to play all the files. VLC, KM and Gom player all come with their own ffmpegx libraries so everything that isn't real media works.

I feel your pain. Ever since the last move over a year ago my wife's PSP has been missing. I keep hoping it will show up one day. Probably long after it has outlived its usefulness.

I was in Rochester last week and found a PSP that had apparently fallen under some bushes, so I'll be selling that at the pawn shop and using the money to buy beer and tachos.

Other than that, it's homework time, baby. :/

Oh, and the boyfriend is coming over today to play some games, either Gamecube or Dreamcast.

It's no exaggeration to say that the way we handle poop is a cornerstone of modern civilization. Think about it! Urban and suburban society as we know it would collapse should anything happen to our sewer systems.

Games like Day Z need to include shitting and hygiene in their survival gameplay. Make people really think about what a pain in the ass the apocalypse will be.

Edit: Great book on the subject.

The original Digimon World for PSX is about the only game I remember that had pooping as an important mechanic (due to its connection to Tamagotchi-style monster raising). There were toilets around the world that you could use when needed, and you could even buy a portable toilet. If you didn't go where you should, your digimon would get pissed or sad or whatever.

Odd game, but it's own kind of fun.

Great, now there's a book about pooping on my Amazon Wishlist. I can't wait to see what recommendations I'll be getting now.

This week? Same old, same old. Probably less gaming and more writing as I get through the last two seasons of The Wire, along with some Curb your Enthusiasm. And I still need to hit up the thrift stores to find the rest of my costume. So, yeah.
