All the sleek, shiny, all-screen, superslim phones I've come across seem extremely fragile. I consider it an imperative to have some sort of sturdy case. I've got a book style leather case for my Note and have dropped it a few times without any damage thankfully.

I found out today, a co-worker has now broken TWO S3s. One at a store, with a drop, and one, his sister's. She said the guy at the store said they have had several S3s come back, broken.

Well if you don't drop it, it should be fine, or get a case. Otterbox sells them!

Joking aside, I purchase a case because I view my phone as an investment of my money. I also don't have $500 to spend on getting one out right either.

My girlfriend got pissed off the other day and threw her brand new SII phone against the wall at full force enough to break paint and put a large dent into the wall. In return, all her phone got in damage was a minor white paint mark (from the wall) on the side of the silver edge of the phone. We were shocked the phone didn't break.

On unrelated subject, I got a promotion deal where I got a free $25 google play gift card from the purchase of my Girlfriend's phone. I have no idea what is worth buying and what is not worth buying.

Things I'm interested in would be:
Useful apps
RPG game(s) (prefer to play one really big game instead of many small games)

As you can see, clueless on what's out there for an Android phone.

I was so ready for a Note 2 but all this LG Nexus news has me giddy. Seems like they made the camera a bit more sucky though. Least according to the prototype floating around. O_o

And rumored to not have LTE. Though that might just be a localization/carrier issue. Who knows, the rumor mill is thick and fuzzy on this latest Nexus.

LTE isn't that high priority. Hell, TMO LTE isn't up yet and I'm not really interested in changing providers. They been good to me for to long. Be my luck to change over and start getting dropped calls and such.

There is still the rumor of multiple Nexus devices at one launch. Not sure why that would happen.

I've dropped it on concrete, rocks, and whatever else you could name at least a hundred times over the 2 years I've owned it, and aside for some chips in the bezel and some minor cracking of the backplate, it's fine.

Screen hasn't even been scratched - Invisishield was *well* worth the money.

you know, my S1 was the same. VERY well built. My S3...well, dropped it easier than I have my S1, and got a shattered screen. :-(

Bought a S3 after I lost my iPhone 4S last week. Its a good phone whose screen is too damn big and the battery blows balls. Running CM10 as I can't stand Touchwiz and the hard lined buttons are obnoxiously useless.

I like it better than an iPhone 5, but hate the huge screen and piss poor battery. All else is stellar now

Piss poor battery? Horseshit. You either have a run away app or a broken phone.

My gs3 with cm10 and kt kernel lasts for 2 days with 3+ hours of screen time.

I'm still running stock and it gets amazing battery life. 2 days with ~3 hours of screen usage. Your particular phone is borked (or a bad nightly build)

Running stock and most days I am down to maybe 70% charge, If I push maybe 55%.
