I like Green Man Gaming a lot, but I don't understand them at all.

They routinely undercut even Steam's deepest deals, on new games, even though what they're selling you is Steam codes.

How does that keep them in business? I understand loss leaders but it's not like I'm sticking around to buy a lot more stuff from them while I'm in the store.

They also make up for it by providing absolutely shitty service, and regularly fucking up launches. I buy a lot from them, but would never buy a game I really want to play day 1.

I snagged Borderlands 2 from them for a friend and we played it no problem on launch day. Of course it was a Steam code, so that may change the dynamic a lot.

I think the earlier you pre-order from them the better. They seem to run out of codes with the rush of people buying the day before the game releases.

Sleeping Dogs is half price this weekend. Cheapest trip to Hong Kong ever.

Payday: The Heist is only $5 this weekend, but if you like you can play for free until Monday.

Unity of Command: Stalingrad Campaign is new to steam and is 25% off. Worth a look.

The Witcher and The Witcher 2 are both on sale this weekend. Highly recommended.

GoG
GoG is kinda of bonkers this weekend with multiple deals available. First up is the Mac and PC essentials collection, with some fine titles to choose from for 50% off.

The Deponia adventure games are also on sale. Worth a look for any adventure game fan.

The last and biggest deal is the Interplay sale. Pay what you want and you'll get eight games. Pay over the average and you'll get more. If you pay $34 you'll get every interplay title on GoG. Highly recommended.

It's an Arkham kind of sale this weekend. Nows a good time to grab all that DLC you've been waiting on.
