It would be nice except that then I'd have to do more work. Back in the holster you go, Ronnie Raygun.

4th world of DKCR and it's still as awesome as when I started. My son likes watching me play since the game got too tough for him on the second level. He can't grasp some of the multi button complexities yet, like running by holding down one button and jumping by pressing another at the same time. Or grasping the grass and climbing. But he will learn. He already gets around in Darksiders pretty well.

Holy crap. MagGnome actually caused a very audible laugh with that one.

My week
Borderlands 2: WTF Does Co-Op Not Work Boogalloo: cruelly annoying. Monny Promise: HAHA Kickstarters that are not likely to be funded. I guess it's the moral push. Hot: All that heat we didn't get from the summer? Yeah almost 30 digits hotter this week.

Temple football is so hard to watch because they are just so not good. I was already at one game this season (a loss) and then they lose to Penn State last week. Ugh. I have another home game to go to at the end of the month at some point; I go with my old college roommate who drives up from D.C.
Now Temple basketball...that's a good time! |

Well, I'm officially (kind of) not on the condo board anymore (I think). I guess I'm still on it for another week and a half, but then I'm gone. Not that I mind. I liked being on the board but I can't wait to get away from this ghetto.
Back to gaming! I played a bit more of Dust on XBLA tonight. Man, that game is still gorgeous as ever. I got a new spell too, which means that now pillars of fire fill half the screen when I'm in the middle of slicing and dicing. Mwahahaha...

You lived in the ghetto? I know you have described some instances where you lived that made it irritating, but the ghetto tag is a surprise.

So Uncharted: Golden Abyss..... damn, that's a long game, at least for that series. I've put at least 10 hours in and I just got a "medal" last night that said I was 61% done with the game. The gameplay, the writing, the graphics, everything about that game is so well done, it's definitely living up to the reputation the series has built up. And hey, nothing supernatural in the game... yet. I'm just having such a great time with the game I can't play anything else.

My days of being sexually harassed by escaped papayas have come to an end – I have fulfilled Presidente’s dreams for Tropico, and saved the world! I’m still missing a few stars on some character traits (not to mention a handful of the earlier missions) and I’m not sure I’ll ever get that rebel trap achievement, but the campaigns for Tropico 4 and its Modern Times expansion have been laid to rest.
As for this week, no gaming... probably. Instead, as I finally managed to procure Season 8 of House (what do you know, library, you are good for something), I'll be making that my priority. |

Of course, they're also usually the ones bitching when we have to jack up the condo fees to pay for cleaning up their crap and tell everyone that we don't do anything. Grr. All I know is that as my moving day inches ever closer, every little thing that I've managed to overlook over the past 10 years or so gets ever more aggravating. I think it's my brain's way of making sure I don't look back fondly at my townhouse. I can't wait to get into a proper detached house! (less than 2 weeks!) Speaking of my new house, I should get you guys to help me pick what flag to fly on the flagpole. Yes, my new house has a flagpole. The Canadian flag and Jolly Roger are already in the queue. I might have to take up flag embroidery once we move. Quote:

A lot of the complaints I remember seeing were regarding over use of the Vita features, mostly touch. If using the touch screen at all bothers you, then yes, I can see some of the puzzles and the numerous charcoal rubbings getting on your nerves, but they don't bother me in the least. They make sense given the context of the game. The only other thing you have to use is dragging and dropping for grenades, which actually works better than if you could use the buttons, and the gyro for 3-4 of the standard "balance on the log" sequences throughout the entire game. There's one puzzle where you need to hold the Vita's camera up to the light to see through a parchment, but I thought that was rather cool. Length, though, I just don't see it. Now, I'm playing on Hard, so I can't just run mindlessly through encounters and baby my way through the game, so maybe that's why I'm not just breezing through it. I've put in at least 10 hours with the game and I'm just now 2/3 complete, to me that's not short by any means for this kind of game. It's longer than the other three. There are a ton of collectibles, more than the other 3 combined probably, but those are all optional, if you don't want to search for them you don't have to. For me, it'll add replayability as I love the game and I'll play through next on Crushing searching for the things I missed.
