Naw, he didn't draw the little vignette images. Those came from other artists on the project.

He took our art and made an amazing poster out of it.
Boco from Artofboco.com did the character art.

Howard Phillips, a name that should be familiar to most of us, is making a education/trivia game and partially funding it via Kickstarter.

Quote:
Why are we here?

Gamemaster Howard's Know-It-All is an iOS game being developed by Howard Phillips -- of Nintendo fame, hence the Gamemaster reference -- and a team of talented friends from the games industry.

Know-It-All is currently past the prototype phase and is moving rapidly towards Beta with a targeted release date of January. Know-It-All is fun now but we still have a lot of work to do to enhance play and button everything up before we ship.

We need a bit more support (the minimum Project Goal) to launch Know-It-All but we also thought a Kickstarter with a goal multiplier would afford us the ability to add features such as multiplayer, additional pack-in content, ports to other systems such as Android, HTML5, Wii, and Kinect, and even enable us to distribute free copies to targeted public school districts (the entire district!) around the USA and abroad.
The goal is $50,000.

This is one over on Indiegogo instead of kickstarter, but a worthwhile project. Cardinal Quest 2. I quite enjoyed CQ1, and will be doing a preview of CQ2 in the near future.

IndieGogo for Cardinal Quest 2!

Awesome thanks! I almost went with indiegogo myself. They are actually really cool in their flexibility.

I believe J Arcane went with indiegogo for his RPG crowdsourcing.

Correct. We didn't for various reasons. If we fail we may do a smaller side project there but for now Kickstarter is home. I think indiegogo rocks for many reasons though.

Thanks for the shoutout MosBen!
We have a ton of new art for roleplaying fans and made some real headway on the soundtrack and the tee shirt design.
Another pic by our lead artist.

Awesome! I love the art you've been posting recently. I've got to dig deep and throw some money at this thing before it ends.

Thanks Spigot. We are trying. What boggles my mind is how much support we have had for both the art but the play-testing and rules for the game. Its hard to know if someone is going to call your 10-year old kid ugly or not

Thanks. The cool thing is if people create NPC's, locations, monsters, or get character portraits he is one of the ones who will do them.

Arakion sounds pretty neat (from the most recent KMG post). I loves me some town rebuilding in my RPGs.

Sure think, Karak. From the campaigns I've followed, and contributed to, a big part of success is having a steady stream of support during the campaign pared with a big push at the end.

To quote the FAQs:

Quote:
Are you the same Chris Taylor as the GPG or Fallout Guy?

No, No, and more no. I'm neither of those guys I just happen to share a similar name. It's been said I am "the other, other Chris Taylor who isn't that other Chris Taylor". Hopefully that clears things up.
Still looks awesome, and for $15, sure.
