Once you do a few missions in the Warren district you'll be able to easily get back to the Neon district, so don't worry about missing a few blast shards early on. (I hope I'm not misunderstanding the question.)

Thanks for the responses guys. Now to actually make the necessary jumps from wood post to wood post in order to reach that one out in the ocean.

I was able to get that pier shard. Two to go in the Neon District.
My controller ran out of power so I plugged it in with the 2' USB chord and played up close to my 50" screen while sitting on my ottoman. Man, does this game look like ass up close. All pixelated. But when sitting 8' back on the couch, it looks great. |

I didn't have any problems with the radar. What are you trying to find or do?
Shards are easy to find by clicking the analog sticks to see where they are (if you are in the vacinity) and same with dead drops. I never had a problem finding something. And you can always set up a waypoint. I did that sometimes, especially for sidemissions. I thought the game was nigh-on perfect. I am still thinking about it and I beat it a week ago.

No problems with the radar? It's terrible. Esp the drop point gray outline shit they got going. You need to be on top of one for it to be obvious where it is.
But anyway, I'm at a mission, where I have to recharge cell towers, and one of the way points is under ground (to turn on the power to a certain part of the city) and I have no idea how to get into the sewers because it just shows me above ground where to go. Bad radar, BAD!

To get underground you just need to get to the manhole cover where the blue mission marker tells you. You can only go underground during these occasions. The mission marker should lead you right to it.
The dead drops usually have a pretty far range, but they're only there as a guide. As you get closer to them they get stronger. I liked that, hunting for the drops. I found them all without much of a problem. I did miss about 20-30 shards though, but I never went back to hunt for them. EDIT: If the only objective left after charging that first cell tower is to go underground (if that's truly where you need to go) then you just go to the point on the map and the game will warp you to the sewer. Maybe you're just reading the radar wrong? I seriously thought the radar was pretty spot-on, or at least standard for open world games.

I was a little bit annoyed with all the truck turrets kicking my ass so I may not have noticed a manhole cover where the way point was pointing. I'll check it out again tonight.

Yeah, in those power outage districts there are lots of those trucks. Just shock the hell out of them or headshot the guy at the turret (from a rooftop for cover). I'm sure the manhole is right there, because the sewer missions are power restoring missions and therefore will always be in areas with trucks.

Yeah I'm replaying the game on Hard and going the evil route this time. Playing evil is much more easy than playing good. But I think the game is really perfect in terms of control and even the mini map is great. I thought of that last night when I was looking for items and shards and while it does not tell you the elevation it at least gives you a clue on the area.
I really hope the second one does not change much in terms of controls because it really sold me on the first game. |

I picked this up yesterday and started it this morning. I loved the demo when I played last year. I'm only a few missions in but really like it.
So between inFamous, MGS4 (which I borrow from a friend and beat but just bought to play again), FFXIII (still need to finish), PixelJunk Shooter, Soldner-X 2 and others, I have a full plate. I haven't enjoyed my gaming menu this much in a long time.

I always thought it was funny this game had difficulty levels at all. It starts you off on Hard, I never really had any places I got stuck either. I kind of thought that was one of it's few flaws outside of technical things, it just lacked challenge in spots.

I have played this for about 6 hours and have enjoyed it quite a bit. I'm liking it quite a bit more than the often compared Prototype.

I played it last year. Really liked it and have been meaning to start the 2nd one for ages. Everything just grabbed my attention and focus (no matter how bullshit some of the mobs are. You'll know what I mean).

Yeah this beats Prototype by a mile. I switched Prototype off after 2 hours. Too floaty.

I'm on the third island. I was getting bored right after wrapping up the first one. I'm at the point where I want to wrap this up and move on. All of the little things are getting to me. Like the not quite so good platforming parts. The protection missions. And there are just too many powers to choose from. I start to hit the wrong buttons when the shit hits the fan. A few missions I get the evil points and I am not sure why. I have been following good the whole time. A couple spots I fell through the map and got stuck and needed to reload a save. I think I will pass on the sequel unless reviews were way off and it is more polished and fun than this one. Oh and the more map you open up the more time you spend going back and forth in it. It gets old. Not much to look at. It really needs a fast travel.
