I never saw any marketing for the movie at all, so I guess that's why I was confused. I only managed to hear about the movie after seeing some hype for it either here or IMDB...

2 and 3. There were a handful of episodes in the other seasons I enjoyed with the exception of 5. 5 was awful and almost ruined me on the show and bits of Buffy. I still pretend Spike is dead.

Killing Spike off was terrible. And so are you.

This. I believe the Narrator was John Cleese and he killed it. I can't remember the last in-house Disney feature I enjoyed as much. Maybe Beauty and the Beast.

Rango belongs on a shelf next to that other modernist American animated feature, Fantastic Mr. Fox. Rango had a lot of money thrown behind it largely because Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp were coming off the Pirates trilogy together.

I guess Winnie the Pooh spoke to you guys in ways it just didn't for me. All I saw was pale imitations of a more soulful vibrancy.

I watched The Avengers today. Very impressive world building. They sold it all. The strength of the characters, the presence and realism of Shield and the war on NYC. Really, an impressive feat in special effects. I was especially impressed with how each character was always IN character. Thor wasn't just a super powerful demi-God when he had to be. He was always a demi-God.

Overall story was eh. There were only select scenes recognizable as Joss's, otherwise anyone could have directed this. But it delivered.

Michael Bay failed to direct that CGI battle scene 3 times. I mean you have CGI, why not use longer shots? He says he will in Transformer 4, after watching the Avengers.

Watched Cabin in the Woods last night. It was not at all what I was expecting, but it was still quite entertaining.

It feels a lot like Angel Season 5. It even basically has Fred in it.

You are literally the only person I have ever encountered who didn't think that Angel season 5 was one of, if not the best season of either Buffy or Angel.

Ahh...

My Blu-ray of Unbreakable just arrived - I'll be watching that this weekend. Such a great, great movie. M. Night's best, in my opinion.

My wife and I were this close to turning off 5 half-way through but figured we should see it through. I'll be honest though, bringing Spike back the way they did colored a good deal of that and it was a hurdle I never really got over.

I need to watch that again. It's been several years since I've seen it. Wonder if any of the various steaming services I have access to has it.

Five was actually what I was comparing it to.

There is also a Tom Lenk cameo in it.....and probably a few other Angel cameos that I might have missed

You're mad. Angel season 5 is simply the finest work Joss Whedon has ever produced.

Saw The Master in glorious 70mm print. The details was so gorgeous you could see the threads on people's jackets. Stunning visual acuity.

The movie itself was a disappointment. Kind of a meandering mess with no existential force. Maybe I am being too harsh; I will probably give it another watch. Just not anytime soon.

There Will Be Blood remains PTA's magnum opus as far as I am concerned.
