It's not as complete as the Transformers dock but the Touchstone and Keyboard do form a complete working environment. I haven't used WebOS lately but the browser was more complete than any other browser I've used. I bet you can use the actual Google Drive website. I'll check on it once my tablet finish charging.

ICS on it drains it in about 30 hours. Forget a over night charge and you are SOL. WebOS however still hangs in there like a champ.

Basically, the two big reasons I sold my Transformer are 1) Lack of a good word processor, and 2) Android won't talk to the university Wifi.

I had intended to buy a Windows laptop in the fall term, to fix both of these issues, but I missed the deadline to request an adjustment for a computer purchase, and I don't have the money to buy one on my own.

But $115 for the Touchpad is tempting. I like WebOS on a tablet, and if it'll behave with the uni Wifi, I could see using it for now.

Whats different about the wifi at school? I havent had any issues with the transformer connecting to anything including my hacked phone tethering.

I will see if you can use google docs on the HP tab, unless XerXes beats me to it.. I gotta hit the grocery store and the costco so I am going to be out for a while.

I just tested it and going to the full google docs website seems to work fine. Looks best in landscape. Atleast for the touching things you might want to do anyways. The hp keyboard is pretty cool. Wifi seems less picky than whatever the hell Asus uses. Another plus is the duel booting. But again, the battery drain sucks in ICS. So its a only if you need android thing.

For some reason the login page at UO doesn't work on Android. Punching in my ID and password just makes the page reload. Did it on my TPrime and does it on my phone. I wind up just using my 4G when I'm at the school.

Also, another important question: Is the app store for the Touchpad still up?

WebOS is open source now so the store and that side loading app market probably aren't dying. Just not thriving as much. My thing is it still a very capable device. Even though I am seeking a Andy device.

The Touchpad isn't going to be supported by Open WebOS.
