Civilization V.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game. The 149 hours I have logged on Steam will attest to that. It's just missing a lot of the depth and strategic thinking that Civ IV had. Let's just say that it'll never reach the 800+ hours that Civ IV had unless they do something spectacular with the remaining expansions.

I can see what they were trying to do. They wanted to make a PC Civ game that anyone could pick up and play as an alternative to Civ Rev on the consoles. As far as that goal goes, I'd say they succeeded. My brother could never be bothered to learn Civ, but I gifted him a copy of Civ V and he'd mastered it within a week. The problem is that you shouldn't be able to master a Civ game in a week.

Civ IV was a mess.

There, I said it.

No, I won't defend it either, as I have homework to do. I vastly prefer Civ V over IV, and I'll leave it at that. The AI in V does kind of suck though.

Dusty butthole seems like it would result from either too little fiber, or WAY TOO MUCH FIBER.

This is why medical professionals hate WebMD. Thanks for the diagnosis.

I don't know if this counts, but Red Faction: Armageddon. I realize Guerilla isn't the first game in the series, but boy, did they drop the ball.

Also on my list:
Crysis 2
Dungeon Siege 3
FEAR 3 (I still enjoyed it overall coop, but it just didn't feel like FEAR)

This, big time. Civ V is about as deep as a kiddie pool.
