Ah, dammit. The laptop can't run FTL smoothly. Guess I can't play it while watching TV.

Stupid graphics card is crummy. Guess it's time to start saving for an upgrade.

I need to wake up. I've got friends coming over and we're playing Origin Of Expressions. It looks like Balderdash but with full phrases rather than just word definitions. I've made physical representations of things we've defined in Balderdash, so this should be fun.

First I have to get the kids to bed.

Oh, Reverant, the Lego games are cool. I have Creationaru and it is pretty cool. Basically pictionary with Lego.

So, I'm sitting here waiting for my wife, while she does some week end paperwork at her store.

I have a phone full of games.

Yet I'm sitting here wishing I had brought my psp.

Well played, gaming addiction. Well played.

D&D ended up being tonight. The party fought a diseased dinosaur, avoided a trap that would have infected them with fungal spores, but fell for a more subtle one, where they've decided to take an aquarium that has some sort of a creature in it, with a lamprey like mouth that is swimming in water, but there is an area for it to climb out onto rocks if it so chooses. Strangely, they didn't realize there was no food in the mad wizards lab where the creature was (and his former master dead, under a table, with his boot sticking out and his body consumed by killer fungi. And in character, when they took the creature with them, they felt good about themselves, the way you feel when you help an old lady cross the street. Out of character... "Oh, shit."

The party doesn't know that because they've taken so long exploring this hive of insanity (in which nearly every living thing has been infected by a disease that mutates the body and mind), the house of their patron is under attack, because this outbreak is the result of the brother of their patron and the survivors are going to take revenge on his family, whether or not they actually have anything to do with it.

And meanwhile, the player's secondary characters have been hired to put together a festival and have hired some...interesting entertainment. Afterwards, they saw a duel in the streets where one man was killed, but before he died he threw his silver sword down through a sewer grating. The opponent ran to the rooftops and fled, while the party tried to decide whether to try to retrieve the sword or chase the survivor of the duel. Greed wins out, and they grab the sword, which is strongly magical.

Yep, I'm pulling out the old chestnut of there being two adventuring parties working on the same story from different angles. The adventures that I'm adapting have the party leave the town that has been their base for the seas about a third of the way into the campaign, not able to return until they find a teleporting stone, oh, probably three months of playtime from when they leave. The characters left at home will deal with one part of the scheme that I'm expanding upon and those galavanting will deal with the other part.

To Be Continued.

REALLY Appreciate that. Sincerely.

I admit that much of my concern for a year or two about Kickstarter occurred directly to me hahahahaha. We did take stock, and then just rolled up our sleeves and said screw it. I have to say that the artists were a big part.
Boco from artofboco.com is one of the main artists and some of his words were just really awesome to hear and think through about what we have to offer. As a person who has worked on tons of successful and failed RPG's to have a major artist basically say it was one of the best things he had seen on Kickstarter really made me sit up and take notice of what we have.
Especially when it would REALLY have behooved him to not say that

As for games...none. I did by FTL but...I can't even remember from where or how. I think GOG.

I blazed through Season 1 of Treme on DVD over the last 26 hours. Decent show; enough so to make me want to rent Season 2 as soon as possible. No gaming occurred today.

Drank 12 oz of rye while watching the last 2 episodes. Yums. Bed time.

I remember drinking rye a few times. I think those were drinking times I wish to forget. You obviously are a better drinker than me.

@Aye: As usual, I love your DM stories.

It's certainly a fun action flick. One issue is that it basically makes Terminator 2, one of the greatest movies ever, totally moot.

People would have liked it a lot more if they had called Time Traveling Robot Movie.

How did you get an access code? I probably wouldn't use it but curious anyway.

So I finally have ventured into the watching of Dr. Who. I remember trying to read the books or comic books (both?) once upon a time but it never happened. Browsing my Netflix, the new season was being shown. I thought let's see the earliest Dr. Who I can find streaming. I know the show began in the early '60s. I found a 1972 version, Dr. Who and the three doctors. This shall be interesting.

There is a great deal of jelly going on seeing someone is playing Torchlight 2.

Some of the powers that be got early access codes and they had a few extra to spare. I batted my eyes and flashed a little ankle and next thing I knew, my pre-load turned into a regular load.

I probably won't be able to play much tonight either, but I'll have some time this week to actually play before launch, so that's nice.
