I have to tear myself away from those things sometimes. I got the skill point the first time! But people keep walking up to do it again and I want to help! Agh!

I have the most fun diving in to rescue heroes who've found themselves considerably outnumbered and outgunned. Usually the situation is quite dire in these circumstances and even my help barely turns the tide - if it turns the tide - but when it works out, those moments are magic. The stuff of small legends, the determined, droopy-faced Charr landing with a shotgun-propelled body slam in a shower of deployed turrets and Iron Legion 'bandmates. Tonight's theme ingredient: napalm.

Guilds are like, transversal, man. You can be on any server and still be in the guild and even chat in the channel cross-server. It's nuts.

I get a charge out of helping, too. If I see the downed player icon on my minimap, I make a beeline for it like a rescue dog.

On the AH: right-click your item, select Sell on Trading Post. It lets you set a price, meet the highest price someone is already offering (instant sale), or meet the current lowest auction.

For buying stuff like resources, it's extremely easy to do so. So, yes, it works.

The friend that got me into this tells me I still have too much of a WoW mentality, and it shows that I didn't even think of it.

And thanks for the tip on the Trading Post. I tried to use it once and couldn't figure it out.

Is someone already reviving the fallen? In my experience, it's been 2-4x the XP of a kill. Kills seem to be the lowest XP currency in the entire game. Gathering from a node is usually double the XP of a kill. I actually get disappointed when someone teleports before I can get there to rez them, so call that game design mission accomplished.

Wait, really? So I could theoretically be in the CoG guild yet still on another server? What are the actual server limitations?

Also, at some point, I'm going to need to look up at least a little bit of how to spec so that I don't completely goatfuck my skills for down the road.

My local tabletop group decided on Tarnished Coast but I still hang wit my CoGers. They've hit the perfect note with being able to play with your friends even when you're not necessarily on the same server. (and even more so when they get the cross-server PvE stuff up and going)

I'm never in your guild chat because ArenaNet made the brilliant move of only allowing you to see the guild chat of the guild you're representing, and I run an RP guild on Tarnished Coast, thus I'm obligated to represent them most of the time (I make occassional exceptions for a PVP guild ran by a bad-ass who carries the server in WvWvW).

Maybe you should look elsewhere than a guild chat channel in a computer game for casual conversation. Personally, when something arises, I have never had an issue striking up a conversation on the guild chat, but in my defense, what I write isn't read like rusty nails against a chalkboard.
