Got caught up watching Black Lagoon videos after I posted. Looked for it on Netflix. Not there.

...good thing I bought the full set (not counting season 3 which isn't out yet) for $20 during some insane Amazon deal!

Oh pantsu...
You know, I've heard of a certain internet personality who also enjoys that series:

I've heard legendary praise for Hero Tales, but after four episodes, I've found it wanting. The animation is sub-par, and the humor is forced.

Doesn't have the heart of FMA or TLA, both of which I've seen it compared to.

So on one of the manga sites I go to I was looking for something new and ran across this title Girls of the Wilds and so far I'm really impressed with the title. It's from Korea, and each chapter is full color. I've really enjoyed the writing and while it falls back on the usual type of weak guy, gets help from strong girls to get strong setup, the overall tone and read of the series is great. Summary is posted in quotes.

Quote:
Wilds high, it has a history of 42 years as a fighting specialist all girls private highschool meant solely for the elite. The place Wilds-League is held, the most popular event in the country, the only place in the world where teenage girls have brutal fights with their lives. This year has been changed into a mixed gender school. The only male student- Song Jae Gu, has been granted a full 3-year scholarship regardless of grades. Being someone who had to spend every moment working or taking care of his two younger brothers, he accepted. However, the scholarship was granted with the sole condition he does not leave. But after meeting Queen, the bloody champion of Wild's-League, drenching her in coffee, calling her a "Monster" and getting caught while she was taking a shower... that could prove fatal
It went from being something I picked up random, to something that I'll follow for awhile now. Surprised me really, I'd like to see it animated as well.

Liked the first one.

Although the 2nd one reminded me that I haven't watched Denpa yet.

On that note, watching Denpa currently.

Somehow I missed that Mirai Nikki is 26 episodes. Rectifying that tonight.

Mirai Nikki is one of those anime series that reminds you of why you started watching anime in the first place.

Add Sword Art Online to that list.

So far, Bakemonogatari is really dialogue heavy, but this moment nearly had me in tears from laughing:

I started watching Sword Art Online, pretty good.
It also ties into Accel World which I've been watching and liking so far.
I'm glad to find some anime I like, after thinking anime was over due to Mysterious Girlfriend X and the show about girls as guns, among other shows that sounded terrible.

You thought anime had reached the end times due to Mysterious GF X? I actually thought it was a pretty cute show. Although the idea of eating someones drool or sucking on it like a popsicle was somewhat gross to me.

If you didn't like the girls-as-guns anime, stay far far away from Strike Witches.
