I was just reading the latest OXM with their Halo 4 coverage. I'm not even a H fan and I know I'll have to play this game. The Halo universe looks interesting. I might actually go outside the game to find out more about the series.

Haven't been this excited for a Halo game since...ever, really. Most anticipated game so far, which is saying a lot such AC3 comes out this year as well.

I'm the panel, we learned that you can throw the Oddball/Grifball like a football. Not only that but you can knock the Grifball around with the Gravity Hammer if it's on the ground. I give it less than a day from release till we have full fledged Halo Hockey and Football game types from the community. The panel was full, though, aside from the vidoc and the MP stuff they showed.

My little brother got some time with this at PAX today. He seemed to really like it, though the most he could tell me was that it's "fun and different than other Halos." Real eloquent dude.

Oh my god I'm stoked. Actually pretty excited to play this game. Grifball was always one of my favorite modes - easy to slip into for a few rounds.

The embargo on the Halo 4 previews were lifted this week along with some new information.
A new mode called Dominion was announced.

OXM – by way of The Verge – reports that Halo 4 Dominion mode sees players vying for control over three territorial points on a map. OXM also has screens here.

The kicker is that as soon as one team captures all three points the game enters ‘sudden death’, giving the losing team a countdown. If they fail to get
the territories under control before the clock runs out, the game is over. It sounds tense.

The fun doesn’t stop there, because if you hold one point for a long time, it will become upgraded with holographic vehicle deploy stations, turrets and door shields to block entry. Fortified bases also take longer for the other team to re-claim.
