Sounds like it is but I only had 12.3 calories set aside to give a shit about that game...so I figured this response was better than a google search

I've seen this in numerous games now, and I think it has to do with the way the fonts on the designer's computers are set up. I actually can't get this laptop to properly write Arabic script from right to left. I had to go back on my other machine with the Farsi and Pashto properly fonts installed just to do my Arabic homework.

Karak: No, I couldn't tell by looking. But I did come up with another analogy! It's like if they were in Atlanta, and the businessmen had crazy Minnesota accents. But I'm just being silly now.

muddi, I didn't mind what they did for 4th season but I agree that 2nd and 3rd are the high points... so far. Let's see what happens in the 5th.

Heck yeah on the Junpei hats. I love mine and wear it so much it's started fading.

This talk of stalling on final dungeons in Persona reminds me that I did just that in Eternal Punishment. I maxed out the clock and got distracted in the last dungeon, and now going back I can't remember what I was doing.

Everyone playing their Persona stuff should push me into diving back into Innocent Sin. I hate that I haven't gotten further in it.

There's also a laziness/idiocy thing. I have a coworker who got almost arrested because he had a weapon (from somewhere in the Middle East) with a serial number that apparently didn't match the license.

It ended up it was a series of idiots in the licensing bureau, one who didn't believe arabic numerals are R-t-L, and another who was apparently using the wrong alphabet. So the records for the weapon in the system were completely fubared.

It's out on the 28th, which is Tuesday. I figured I'd do the Operation Alloy all weekend, level up my newly promoted classes and then I can carry over into the Leviathan DLC. Definitely on the 28th though a little past the weekend but whatever I don't post in these thread very often. Going to be 800 MSP. Not sure on the PS3 for points.

Gonna finish up some Dragon Warrior 2 and grind on FFXIII until later tonight, when I go to a birthday party.

Also re-watching Black Lagoon. Good violent stuff.

I just got a text telling me to bring all of my Xbox controllers to a buddy's going away party tomorrow, so it looks like Saturday will be filled with Halo 2 deathmatch, Tiger Woods Golf and NFL Fever '03. It's gonna be a good weekend.

Walter's a funny dude. "Oh! I pissed myself. Just a squirt." and "Excellent! Let's make some LSD." were great lines. I'll stick with it for at least a couple more episodes.

"Oh, and I speak Farsi." Yeah, that's a huge factor when an American comes to do business with Iraqis. Dumbass writers. There were a few bad lines like that, but this one made me snort.
Iran, Iraq, same shit, right? I actually completely missed that. But yeah, I've mentioned it in the thread before, but I loved the first 1/3-season I watched of Fringe. Recently, um, acquired the rest, so I'll probably dig into that if/when I ever find downtime.

Weekend!

Polish the Stairs (RL): Not a euphemism for anything, but actually part of the Never Ending Renovation, which may be ending soon (hooray for contractors). Painting is a less-likely thing, but also potentially on the docket.

BioShock 2: Minerva's Den (PC): I think I'm almost done with it; I have two of the three Little Sisters and the Gravity Well plasmid. I have a feeling I've figured out (or maybe recalled from long-lost memory of GOTY podcast past) the Big Twist.

Porter is The Thinker, right? I mean, he's obviously been in hiding from Wahl and possibly Ryan for a while, he knows exactly what you're up to, and has access to the Thinker's highest-level systems even though Wahl ostensibly controls it. Plus, he fed it audio of his dead wife, it's reported to be able to think and talk "like a man," and the BioShock series loves to play with notions of what it means to be human. He wants you to preserve The Thinker because he needs you to save his life. He feeds Wahl just enough information to keep him from suspecting, because he knows you can take whatever Wahl throws as you.

Like I said, I don't remember if I actually heard this as a spoiler back before I ever thought I'd be playing MD, or if I actually worked this notion out on my own, but that's my guess, and we'll see how it plays out when I finish the game.

Burnout Paradise (PC): More making dudes crash. The racing is still boring and easy as long as I don't get distracted and miss my turn by half a mile, but making dudes crash still sets off the old Skinner Box routines upstairs. I don't see any reason to get too bent up about 100%-ing it or anything. A little disappointing, given how much people had hyped it up, and what my nostalgia of Burnout 3 is like, but there you go.

Something Else? A friend is trying to get me into Guild Wars 2, so she's gonna let me borrow her account at some point to try it out; maybe this weekend, maybe later. Beyond that, dunno. Really enjoyed reading a magazine for the first time in forever; might do that again.
