Ok. Just wanted to make sure that wasn't what was being passed off as poutine down your way.

It's bad enough that there's a place near us that puts grated cheese on their fries & gravy and calls it poutine. Curds or GTFO.

So I put some more time into Dust this morning and then played several rounds of P4: Arena against my son. The sad thing is... he only lost once

And that's another thing... Why don't Americans use white vinegar on their fries? It always struck us as odd that we'd get malt vinegar when we asked for vinegar for our fries in the States.

Buncha weirdos...

I know this gets mentioned in here but I still don't know what it is. It must be something mislabeled since I see Spigot jumping up and down shouting "nooooo" in his later posts.

Parts of your body are asking WTF right now. Also asking "why does he hate us"

Vinegar in general is disgusting. White vinegar smells terrible. And if that's what finally tips the scales and makes me a weirdo, then fine.

Poutine is french fries with cheese curds and brown gravy. I'd heard of it while I was in Seattle (and saw it on the show Chilly Beach), and thought it was weird, but tried it on a trip to Vancouver. It was much better than I expected and I can see how people would get into it. Total comfort food style stuff.

Why do Canadians substitute "us" for no reason whatsoever in sentences? These are the mysteries of the world and most likely will be the cause of the great Vinegar-Us war of 2018.

As for fries...I think my favorite thing on them is either horseradish or tarter sauce.

I am under the spell of Sleeping Dogs. My walking tour continues, taking on the North Point. I'm looking for the locked boxes, statues and other goodies there to find. On my tour I happen to find my way into the sewer system. Somewhere I found a gun! Yes a weapon! Even better I found a group of baddies and...well they met a nice end. A very good death. Lots of bullets to their heads Now I have to figure out where the rest of these hidden goodies are.

@rein: I know in the main SD thread you were talking about the combat, offering some puzzled questions about why the developers did certain things with the combat. I agree with you. Actually, your inner dialog was exactly mine. Just get used to dying a lot. It's an odd little system they have created when it comes to the combat. There is no wiggle room. It's learn the rules and it's oddities or you are fucked basically. I'm still dying but a lot less now. Grappling is your friend. Those you can't grapple, counter them. Also, I tend to run a lot too

I walked for a couple hours last night as well. Tons of stuff to see, hundreds of hidden items and so forth. Its been fun. I did almost die a couple times walking over an overpass and the damn cars came jetting around the corner and slammed into me. Juggled me for a couple minutes before flying off the overpass into a monks temple.

After seeing the Expendables 2 yesterday, I now have a chest full of hair and my voice is an octave lower with the gravel quality to it.

Spoilers:

Sly: I heard you got bit by a King Cobra?
Chuck: Yeah. And after 5 days of pain and agony, the snake died.

Arnold: I'm almost out! I'll be back!
Bruce: No, you wait here and I'll be back!
Arnold, after Bruce leaves: Yippee-kai-yay.*keeps firing his gun*

Awesome movie. I liked it better than the first. And I liked the first a lot.

We have game sync. going on. That happened to me in the same spot last night. I had no idea I could be killed from oncoming traffic. I was expecting the game to measure how far I flew and show how my other friends on my social page in comparison. I think this should be patched in

@rein: Another helpful tip with SD. Find the vendors that sell stuff. They offer protection that helps a bit. If I know i'm going to go pick on thugs or missions, I just buy some items before I start. The vendors are pretty plentiful too.

Thanks for all of the purchase advice. I decided to hold off on the Sony display since it seems to be $200 retail now and I can always pick one up as a second monitor (or a better monitor) later. I was going to purchase a used Vita at a Game Exchange with some trade-in and get it for about $120 but when I got there both units they had in stock had small scratches on the screen. Damn kids and their lack of using protection. For now, I am debating if it is worth holding off until the end of October for the white Assassins Creed bundle. Wait 2 months and get a white unit w/ Ass vs now and a black unit w/ MK. I am leaning toward holding off since Persona 4 Golden will not be out until November anyway.

Jeez, Spigot, you put vinegar on fries? Vinegar belongs in salad dressings, marinades, and floor cleaners, and only the first two if you can't find something *good*, like lemon juice.

Of course you put vinegar on fries. I bet you don't like salt & vinegar chips either!

Ugh. I don't think it's possible to play the new FF7 release offline, and their server seems to get bogged down. You load up your save menu and nothing happens. If you're trying to save a game and the connection's bad, it'll give you the choice to make a local save... but only if you wait around for awhile. I have no idea how long it takes. It's definitely not within the first twenty seconds or so.
