It's been a while since our last update. We have had in the last month two or three new builds released as testing intensifies. Duhprey and jharger have been working tirelessly. Duhprey has implemented lag bridging to make it fair for those who are not hosting. We are still in the development phase of testing and improving the system but its looking pretty good at the moment.

Also, JakeG, has been kind enough to help out with animations and has fixed our zombie golem - which had its head hanging from the stump of its neck like a piece of loose cloth - so now the golem is looking good and walking well

CaptainNeeda has just finished the Login Menus u will likely see when you play RisingStorm Multiplayer in the future. I imagine they wont be implemented for some time as there are more bugs needing fixing first. However we are closing in our the old-fashioned style serenisphere menus CaptainNeeda will be working on a Serenisphere battle map menu and temporary islands to use in the serenisphere so that in time everyone can be flying around the skies of Nimbus as is done in Netstorm. Currently, the background image for the main login menu is temporary too, a far more epic image will replace it in time, but for now enjoy a couple of the images below.

Oh, and finally, Feng is working on the Wind and THunder temple - I think! Hopefully we might have something soon in the future to show

Don't worry the final version will! once we add all the shaders in and adjust the world lighting for in-game! also as it said in the news post the background image in the main menu images is also a temp one until Feng gets the uuber renders done up

Update on the Rain cloud floater: reduced the last of the unneeded polies and started putting those removed polies to good use putting in proper hinges based off the old one in the original game art! tomorrow will re-texture the hinges and the area's that got remapped! For tomorrow I have planned final adjustment of the parts and putting the detail textures onto the changed parts.

It looks pretty great! Are there any videos of the game in action?

I've never played the original, but the screens are getting me interested and I'd like to know more about it.

There is a video posted on our website www.risingstormhq.com it shows some of the gameplay but its an old video and some newer stuff has been added since then..

basically game-play takes place on floating islands and players can bridge to floating storm geysers to collect resources also a player can get more land by bridging to unclaimed islands and capturing them using outpost buidlings. the goal of the game is to destroy the enemy and sac the enemy priest on ones altar..

The Rising Storm project team is very pleased to announce that our texture and model artist Fenglong has just finished redesigning and modeling the new Thunder cannon for the Thunder faction! With that said today we are happy to unveil for public showing the new thunder unit in all its glory!

Feng has also put together a short video to showcase the newly finished model!

And besides the new model our two very very hard working coders Duhprey and Jharger have been hard at work in the depths of the RS code on implementing further of the lobby system features and new gui's a long with ensuring stability, work is also slowly getting done on new tools being added into the map editor to allow for smoother map creation along with campaign creation once that is ready to roll out! so stay posted and we hope to have a new playable release for the public to play test soon!

Our coder Duhprey has done a game on the side and has entered it in a contest, if he wins he will be able upgrade to the latest unity and that will mean Rising Storm the netstorm remake will at last be able to run on Linux. You can see our coders game here http://killscreendaily.com/create/vi...bmissionID=197 check it out and please click like on it will really help us out
