Has anyone managed to find the collectors edition anywhere? Seems like every place has low stock which I would take to mean no stock at all or places are sold out.

Did anyone get the Collectors Edition?

Had a glitch that would have stopped me dead If it autosaved afterwards but fortunatetly it didn't
when you fight the corrputed guardian/ warden in the plains and the maker resurrects him, the cinematic glitched. At the end, instead of exploding when attacked by the corruption, the guardian just froze and that was it. I was trapped in the plains with all the exits sealed of and couldn't get to the tree of life. I quit and had to do the battle again but fortunately the cinematic went off ok the second time. This was on ps3 btw.

At least the fight you had to repeat was an epic one. That whole sequence was just too cool.

It's a lot harder than I thought it would be. So leaving it alone while I start/finish the second world. I think the first 'round' goes through level 25, before you get a decision to 'take your winnings' or 'keep fighting'. It's obviously pretty damn hard, as the most anyone has ever completed it is 6 times followed mostly by 3 times.

Anyone else find it fitting that Death's guide in Darksiders II is a crow since his voice actor is Top Dollar from The Crow?

Yeah, you want to be at least level 20 before any serious attempts at the Crucible.

It's not so much level dependant as gear dependant.

What you need for the crucible is a gear setup that allows you to take on continuous fights. That means health off crits if you are crit high or health steal. Wrath steal or wrath of crit on your other weapon is great also.

Disables like shock or ice will make your job a lot easier as well giving you the breathing room you need as well as using minions.

The first crucible is 1-50. When you hit 50 he will send you away and tell you to await a sign letting you know you should return to do the next 51 floors. At every 10th level you get the choice to continue or take your winnings.

Using guns to refill Wrath is critical if you use the Teleport slash technique I use.

Good to know. Thanks.

How are the rewards? Is it worth it to take them or just keep grinding? Also, do you keep the XP you gain in the Crucible?

You get no XP. ;\

Sorry no level grinding. I was watching my bar and at level 20 going from 1-50 it didn't budge. However for guaranteed 'super' gear it's not bad either if you do the 1-50. I could see myself doing the last floors for gear because well, the fights are really enjoyable.

NOTE:

I played through on apocalyptic on my first playthrough. On my second playthrough I chose normal since I felt like I didn't really have anything to prove anyway at this point.

Meh we'll see if I made the right choice but I'll be doing the whole second round again soon enough.

Yeaaah what you want to do with possessed weapons is only feed them the stats you want them to have.

If you feed them anything you'll wind up with stats you don't want or end up having to pick stats you don't want either.

I learned that the hard way yesterday. I'm so about getting it to level 5 that I don't think about what I'm feeding it.

Had a weird bug where I fed it something that actually decreased crit %, I was like "why would I select that"? That build was a disaster, no more health on crit is making my life difficult.

Yep, I had that same bug.

Health on crit is the best you can get until you get to level 20 where you'll see health/wrath steal. That's when you pretty much laugh the rest of the game off.

Screw Health on Crit, get Health Regen. You can usually take it from a Talisman. Even better, get both.
