We've got over two months to go. I've just been thinking about ideas already.

You know I have to say I'm always thinking about it. Success hasn't been found. I think the one where I made it a 4th of the way through, I just had no idea what the hell was going. I went of the rails and was something different and I just flaked out.

I know the point is to keep writing but it's the characters had nowhere to go. I was told to kill one and it was like, O_o. Only if I had put a little more forethought into a second and third act. Could have found ways to forced the character to get there on their own.

There is no way I'll do NaNo again while I'm still deer hunting. November is just too crazy. I'll be here cheering everyone on though.

I'm in a similar situation for part of my project. I have specific milestones that re important and I want to connect, but it's getting from stage a-b. How that transition takes place that just gets me worked up.

I'm jotting down notes at the moment, but every time I go to work out a kink, I just end up scribbling down something about giant sloths and the Faraday Paradox.

Well my thing was I had no planned b. I know I need milestones. Last year, I was caught with nothing planned.

Although many people also have time off around Thanksgiving, since it falls on a Thursday. After you've bloated yourself with turkey and slept it off you have a 3-day weekend to write.

Also, if you know for certain that you're going to lose, say, 3-4 days to family where you absolutely won't be able to write, just start that many days early into October. The whole thing is based on the honor system.

I should jump in this again. At least I have some time to prepare. The first one (and only) was really fun. I guess I could actually try to finish the story now or work on it's sequel. Decisions...decisions...

Edit: Inspired by the eccentric postings in the weekend thread, I have a story with a character that i'm using based off of Mags. If you are smart, don't piss off Mags, and if you do...make sure you are not on his facebook page...
