I hope the devs can live without rear touchscreen support. That does suck.

They should tier it. Tier 1 one being vita, tier 3 being all the base level devices with no back touchscreen. Teir 2 being devices that come out as in between. Would limit the ability of devices phones in a year with specs than can pressure Vita completely but still a better platform. I guess in this regard if you want to do a "tier 1" vita game you have to go through the typical stuff some indies can't afford.

Xerxes, I think that would just confuse things. I'm pretty sure the whole point is to have games that are identical no matter where you play them.

On an unrelated note, Need For Speed Most Wanted is sounding like a damn good game on the Vita. IGN has a short interview with Criterion, who's doing the game inhouse, who's saying the game is identical to the PS3/360 version in every way. Hopefully they can pull it off, a portable Burnout Paradise 2 (that's what the game essentially is) would be fantastic.

Well like android certain devices wouldn't see what they can't see. But you right. But excluding folks from programming to the flagship devices potential sucks. Goes against their "we need developer" pleas.

True. I think what would be better is a true indie dev program that's Vita specific. PSM is a step in that direction, but I'd assume Vita compatibility with PSM games is more because they can and less the focus of it. They're trying to get a foothold in the mobile phone gaming space with this more than anything else.

Count me in for Tearaway (ridiculous trailer!), Killzone, Assassin's Creed and Soul Sacrifice, provided the latter is similar to Dark Souls, as it appears to be, and not a Monster Hunter type game.

Soul Sacrifice looks like a mixture of the two. I'm not sure if it's been playable in any form yet, even at GamesCom. Maybe at TGS next month.

Zen Pinball 2 trailer:

It comes out on September 4th, any content you have for Zen Pinball already on the PS3 will be playable, ZP2 itself is a free download.

This, along with the fact that it's supposed to be cross-playable on the Vita, makes me very interested. I've already got all the boards from the first game, and even a few from the Marvel game. It would be worth actual money to me to be able to put it all together and play on the Vita or the PS3. Having it for free is pretty awesome.

I only have the Marvel tables that were free with Plus a few months back, but I'm considering getting some more. I just suck at pinball.

Jeeze, it finally gets released. They were talking about releasing it in early summer around the time The Avengers came out, but it never happened.

I hear ya. Pinball is really more my wife's thing. It's apparently been a huge obsession of hers forever that someone didn't come out until about a year ago.

For me, pinball is not unlike fighting games. I can find them interesting, and will play them some, but I tend to be terrible at them. Though I am better at pinball.

I was so disappointed with that. I saw the email on my phone this morning, all I could see of the headline was something to the effect of "The Persona 4: The Golden preorder bonus you were waiting for!". Here I was thinking, of course, some sort of soundtrack, but no, it's a skin. Bleh. I could never see myself using that.

I want the wallpapers, nonetheless, but they'll be online within minutes, I'm sure. But man... I probably would use that skin. I like it when they use the wallpaper to look like the skin covers the screen.

Speaking of which, can you change what the 'sleep mode' screen tearaway page looks like? I haven't mucked around too much with some of that stuff but was curious.

Eh, I think it's kinda ugly, but that's just me.

You can change it. I'm pretty sure you just go to the picture you want it to be and select it to set it as the lock screen background or whatever that's called. I know you can, I just don't remember the exact steps.

I like the skin, but I doubt I'd use it. I'm opposed to sticking stuff on my expensive electronics. Also, it would look like shit when the Vita is turned off.

Go to the image you want in Photo/images and hold on the one you want. The option to save as background or sleep screen should come up.
