- THQ has cancelled development of Guillermo Del Toro's Insane, and returned the property rights to the director. The Lovecraftian horror title - planned as the first part in a trilogy - was announced with modest fanfare in later 2010 and developmental duties were being handled by THQ's flagship studio, Volition. From here on out it looks like Volition will be all Saint's Row, all the time.

- In more THQ news, the publisher says that new, unannounced titles are in development at all four of the company's wholly owned development houses. This in addition to their already announced titles, plus Homefront 2 from Crytek and Turtle Rock Studios' co-op FPS.

- The PS3-exclusive DLC for Assassins' Creed 3 will clock in at about an hour of content.

- Veteran writer Paul Dini will not be returning as scripter for the sequel for Batman Arkham City. He believes that Rocksteady and WBIE will be writing the next installment in-house.

- Monolith founder Jace Hall wants to re-release uber-gory horror shooter Blood. Not remaster, or upconvert. No, he simply wants to re-release it on modern platforms, mobile included. For legal reasons he can't release the source code, but he controls all other rights to the game. He wants to gauge fan interest in such a project.

Well based on my title, you can tell I've been raging on all these unequal boxes longer than just today. It's a matter of principle. Like I said before, they cut content? Cut prices. You didn't put any extra effort into the other boxes.

I don't even like those shitty deluxe boxes with added material, but atleast every gets a shot at. Well, that's not even true with Ubi giving UK and Canada shit like master ultimate boxes. What the fuck? But it's like if they want to put shitty toys in the hands of people; Sell that shit on the side. Nobody really wants that shit, so they saddle it with the game. But no one wants that shit still so lets cut shit out of the game and give it to folks as a perk.

Philonious, several of the items are never released to other platforms. Copernicus Conspiracy is still only on PS3.

I'm definitely down for more Blood. If this little toe in the water deal gains some traction, we might see a new take on the ridiculousness that was the Blood series. I'm totally ok with that.

Ok, Is this supposed to be infuriating or are there actually people who see an hour of content as something worth paying for? I must play too many roguelikes and RPGs with ridiculous gameplay length, because I honestly thought it was a joke. I can't stress enough that I'm actually just looking for clarification from those who play these games, as I do not. I'm not just trashing it because GET OFF MY LAWN!

I think they're just trying to say that it's going to be a little more substantial this time around. I'm not sure about in Revelations, I'm not far in, but in Brotherhood the exclusive missions were pretty short. Cool, but short.

But if you're playing the AC games you should be playing them on PS3 anyway for reasons like this. I'd say PC if it wasn't for Ubi's fucked up DRM practices, but I've heard the games have issues with ATI cards anyway.

I took it less as a rerelease of an available game and more as a test to see just how interested people still are in the Blood series. If he gets a good number of DLs and some buzz from the community, we might be seeing a new Blood in the next few years. Now that LongStep confirmed it's free, I'll definitely be trying to stir the interest pot in hopes that we can get a modern take on a more campy horror FPS in the future.

No Gorvi, this isn't the reason you should being playing on PS3. You should be able to play the complete game how ever you like. DS3 ain't for me. I suffer it for real exclusives titles but this ain't one of them. And why the fuck are they steering folks to any platform? If the goal is to move as much merch as possible, this ain't the way. If you didn't want to make it for any other platform, don't. But that lesser games should be cheaper.

Again this could be exclusive peeing in the snow DLC for all I know; I mean totally pointless DLC. But it's the principle that universally generic DLC, nothing Sony related, but something add to the story is cut from other games to steer folks. That's stripping.

If it wasn't universally generic like say a Kratos theme assassin's garb then so be it.

The only time exclusive didn't mean exclusive is in the bonus packs with the challenge rooms or whatever were you crawled around in cool places to get something and swan dive out. This isn't the first time PS3 has gotten exclusive DLC full blown missions that stayed exclusive from 360 and PC to this day.

This is like the time they didn't release that PoP epilogue dlc to PC.
