It's almost surprising how hard you sleep when you get your AC fixed after a night of not having one.
That, and staying up too late watching Star Trek TNG...

In NY you aren't suppose to do stuff like that. Actually the cops have to or suppose to decline. It's seen as a sign of favoritism. Goes back to the Serpico days and the police corruption.

Finally beat the quick Princess Peach. Took three sets but now have the flower cup tournament won. I tried the online mode. Lag, lag and more lag. I made someone happy since they beat me easily. But the lag was impossible and gave up after the first loss.

See, I didn't know 'Timbits' were donuts. Yeah, your friend was just calling you out on playing towards a stereotype.

I'm confused! The wiki thingy says Timbits are donut holes.
I have realized a few things today. I like complaining about the Olympics than watching them. I should knuckle under and do the Twitter thing.

So, I went to download that Skyrim DLC, and... it turns out it's not out for the PS3. No ETA, either. No idea where I got 30 days later from.
![]() I assumed they were cigarettes... don't ask me why. Of course, every time someone mentions Tim Hortons, I think it's a department store, like Walgreens or something. |

I know they (Bethesda) said that. My impression was the Dawnguard was buggy and underwhelming. So the idea being to get it to work or let us forget about it.
Probably six feet from a desktop anyway.

Played a bunch of Divine Divinity this weekend, got past the only hurdle in the game: the first dungeon. Just finished it tonight. Can't wait to venture into the rest later this week or next weekend.

So I just got back from an awesome dinner with that friend of mine. We spent most of that time commiserating about how everything seems to be shit in our lives right now: my renos and grad project, her family and her BF. However, in amongst that, we enjoyed a nice steak and lobster dinner. In fact, we wound up having the same steak and lobster dinner, and then the same thoughts on what to have for dessert (she had one, I had the other, we split a little). It was kind of spooky, actually.
And confirming her awesomeness, after asking me not to judge, she confided that she'd recently gone to an event called BarCraft, in which you go to a bar and watch MLG StarCraft games. Of course I high-fived her, because that's just too rad for words. We then talked about Calgary Expo, and Gamer Sundays at Dickens Pub downtown, and a bunch of other nerdy shit like that. Apparently, she wants to cosplay as Zelda someday, but she's too lazy to do that for now, so she might do Poison Ivy instead. Also, her dog is named Thor. We might be getting together again tomorrow, before she leaves town for a couple of weeks, but we might also be meeting up with another old co-worker, too. Oh, yeah. Games. I played a little more Orcs Must Die, and am getting to the part where I actually have to plan and strategize a little, which...I don't know if I'm in the mood for that right now, but I'll stick with it for now. I also started over in Batman: AA, because GFWL is a pile of poop. |

After making that joke, I wouldn't save you from the zombies.
![]() Speaking of which, The Walking Dead is great so far! I haven't had much time for gaming this weekend, but I'm glad I played it for another hour or so today.

I've been playing more Forza 4. Making rapid progress through the single player campaign, I also just hit 100% parts discount for Nissan, which meant buying all the parts for my new custom '69 Fairlady Z.
It's got just over 1,000bhp, and totally untuned it will already do a 22 second mile, and 0-60mph in 2.8secs. Once I get the transmission dialed in I should have no problem hitting that 2.4sec 0-60 or better, but the real challenge is always getting the handling settings tuned in right. My attempt to give it a test run around the Top Gear track failed on the first corner, couldn't even drive the thing.

My ma just bought a time share.
So tomorrow at 9, I get to go over there with her and cancel the contract, and tell them to shut the fuck up if they try to offer any more stuff. *sigh*

I unlocked the final stage for Lollipop Chainsaw yesterday afternoon and thought that I would be done by now, but I ended up watching some baseball and Olympics along with doing other stuff. I should finish the game tonight though. I've really enjoyed everything about the game, and the combat has also gotten better once I figured out what type of attacks I should be doing. The atmosphere, humor, style, references, etc. are definitely all great.

Actually passed the point in Batman: AA I was at before. I remember the Bane fight when it was in Gears of War 1, but it was a more interesting challenge because I had more than one thing to contend with, and it took some time to get all the pieces together. I also liked the Scarecrow sequence. It was nice to break things up, and I've liked mindfucky sections in other games in the past, and it didn't have nearly the precision platforming that Max Payne 1 inexplicably required.
