Watched the newest episode of Falling Skies yesterday

God damn that was a good episode

Went in expecting very little, and received far less.
Knowing what kind of movie it was going in, I'm still saying this. One of the worst films I've seen in a long while. Poorly paced, written, acted, you name it. It tries to be a comedy, a fantasy adventure, and a "stoner" flick, then fails miserably at all of them. The only positive I can come up with is that a couple of the fight scenes were good.

Watched Hellboy and also Chronicles of Riddick

I love Hellboy i hope Del Toro gets his fatass into gear and make 3 already

And i forgot how much i loved Riddick and am pumped for the new one... I will agree that Pitch Black is the best of the two but i still love Riddick

I tried watching Pitch Black a few months back and couldn't stop laughing throughout it. I remembered it being so much cooler when I was in high school but now it just looks like a serious "tough guy" bits over and over and over. THAT RIDDICK SURE IS A TOUGH GUY. LOOK AT HIM SIP ON A DRINK WHILE EVERYONE LOOKS FOR HIM IN THE WRONG DIRECTION.

Currently watching Band of Brothers, finally. Wow, amazing story. WWII paratroopers were badass mofos.

Band of Brothers is epic, but man there are some tough to watch parts. I haven't seen it in years, and I don't think I ever saw it in hi-def... I should try to get ahold of it again.

For me, the toughest part of watching it was seeing the actual men the story was based on talk about their experiences at the beginning and end of each episode. It made what can feel almost surreal all too grounded in the true events that these guys endured. I'm also a sucker for real emotional moments and soldiers crying is like a punch to my emotional gut.

You should. It really is a superb example of HBO at their finest. Beautifully shot, great acting and directing, epic scale. And quite harrowing in places.
