I get that it could be Ghostbear, but what about looking at the point of view of a site visitor? Searching google for game reviews. Stumble across CoG. Ah, I kinda like their review structure, let's see what else they've reviewed. Wait, nothing since 2011? What the heck?

This reply strikes me as really odd.

This is a gaming forum where people can share their experiences with games amongst each other. And part of that is reviews of popular (and even not so popular diamonds in the rough) games that we all comment on and talk about. But that just sorta has taken a huge sideline because of the attitude above.

We even had a CoG awards one year and the next people said it was 'too much work'...now the reviews are not being done because 'It's an enormous pain in the ass'

What's next? No more podcasts because 'They take too much time'?

I know this might offend, but it just reeks of lazy. If those who currently do it don't want to do it anymore, why not find someone who does? I'd gladly offer my time to help out with stuff like that, because when it was going on it really made me feel like I was part of a bigger thing. Even though all I did was vote and comment on the CoGgies (was that what they were called?) and comment on reviews.

They are/were one of my fave things about this site. And sure they're a lot of work, and can be annoying and such...but are they really THAT bad?

It's not that reviews are no longer being done; it's that they're no longer being linked on the Reviews page.

On that note, if linking them is a huge pain in the ass, perhaps it'd be a good idea to look into a system that would be easier to manage. Seems like the sort of thing that should be easy enough to automate. Just a thought.

I imagine it is the updating of that table that is a PITA, maybe a different format could be used? Honestly though, I have never clicked on that link before today, so I may be talking out of my ass on the issue.

Are you actually calling people lazy who provide free content? Really? Every few months I try to go in there and update the table, but really it's a low priority. Combine that with the nature of that table and it just feels like the Sword of Damocles. We do all these things because we like to do them, it provides a creative outlet for us. We also do them because we like giving something to a community that provides us much in return. I will NOT be called lazy when I pay for almost every review game and trip out of my pocket and vacation time.

Yeah, that kinda went in a different direction than anticipated. =/

What about a simple link like what Biosc had? I mean, it doesn't need to be the specific table. Could even put the scores in the subject line in the future so that it'd give similar content, with no need to be manually updated (I know, idea is to get reader to read the post to get the score, just trying to be helpful. =P ). Maybe a few buttons to similar links for just PC/Xbox/PS3?

Unfortunately not all reviews are ending up with tags. I'm certainly guilty of that (I tagged Dragon's Dogma but not Assassin's Creed: Rev), and I've dug into the past and quickly found others that aren't tagged either. I'll try to remember in the future, and I went back and fixed my own (as it doesn't require editing the original post).

e: Some reviews are also tagged "reviews" and not "review".
