Yeah, this wasn't a matter of "WOW! THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON MY BRAIN CAN'T HANDLE IT!" but more of a matter of, "What the hell are you saying?! Could someone ask the brass section to take a break for a second so that I can actually hear this line of dialogue?"

I don't think I've ever leaned forward to try to hear what characters are saying (like that would help in this situation).

**warning** **The following post is off-topic and a full on rant** **Please take precautions if you do not wish to be exposed to the ramblings of a pissed off weekender**

So.... ...I had to work a few hours this morning and I am trying to decide if I should be pissed or super pissed. It's not that I had to go to work. It's what happened when I got there.

On Wednesday afternoon my boss mentioned that he would like to teach a class on Saturday for a few hours but he wasn't sure. Well, yesterday at 4:30 I get a text telling me we are going to come in from 9am-11am to "train." I then get a follow up call from him later that day about 6ish asking if I had received the text. Sure. A little short notice but I can deal with it. Here is where it gets fun.

I get to work expecting to be trained on something or another only to be told that I would be conducting a 2-hour class on one of our systems that is attached to accounting software. Wuh? I get zero notice that I am supposed to present a class. Not even at 6ish the night before when he called me? Not only that. I had no time to review the system to know that it is behind a few upgrades and wasn't even networked. Before getting started I asked my boss what we should go over. His answer, "let's go over installing the system." My response, "do you have about six to eight hours available today?" He knew I was unhappy and he told me he "didn't put me on the spot." I informed him he may not have intended to put me on the spot but he very much did. I salvaged it a little by going over a few issues that I know can happen when using the software but needless to say it wasn't exactly a smooth teaching experience on my end and I am sure it wasn't much of a learning experience on the other. At least the guys I work with are well aware of how f'ed up the situation was.

I don't know, this is the kind of shit that goes on there and it isn't even close the worst part of how bad this place is ran by management. I have been hitting job sites about once every week or so but the job market sort of sucks around here. At least for a college drop out like myself. I think I am going to increase the time I spend job searching anyway and hope that something pops up. I do not remember ever having a job that I absolutely dreaded going to..... ....and I spent five years managing an EB/Gamestop and even went through the GS acquisition.

/end of rant.....

OMG my internet is slow. I want to finally play some DayZ and it will be around midnight before my ArmaII/Arrowhead download is complete.

Rein, that's super-pissed levels there. Its one thing to drag you in last minute but not to put you on the spot like that.

Today, I played Get Heat Exhaustion While Spending Two Hours Replacing One Fucking 2x4 On My Back Gate Because Some Cock End Screwed It On In Sixteen Fucking Places With Ungalvanized Screws While Simultaneously Failing To Secure Half The Diagonal Supports To The Frame Because He's An Idiot Who Builds Fences With Brad Nails Seriously Who Fucking Does That (RL). Would not recommend.

I also got back into Everyday Genius: SquareLogic (PC), because it doesn't make sense to start a new game after midnight.

Woke up around 6am to see that ArmaII and Arrowhead are still downloading. FU AT&T! I might be able to get the DayZ mod installed before the end of the day. In the meantime I will be having random dances with Hai throughout the day. Her big thing now, besides watching Bubble Guppies, is running up and saying, "Papa dance!" and bursting into her wiggle dance moves.

I tried downloading Steam on ADD's laptop so I can play a few of those nice Steam sales I finally bought. Except it is true that you should not be gaming on a mac appliance unless it has phone or pad to the name. I get this weird message stating Steam is in offline mode, cannot download. What? I don't even know what offline mode is (I do now, hold the explanations). I try to see if I have that enabled on the olddyingcoughingupbloodchips laptop i'm using, nothing about offline mode. Try to delete anything named Steam on the newer laptop, nothing. I find online there is some "bug" in the registry. Then I find the Library folder is hidden on the Lion OS. Why? Ugh. I finally found someone who was able to type slow enough so I could understand what to do. It worked but what a clusterF. Really Valve/Gabe, you want Mac gamers to play on Steam, fix that ridiculous bug.

I can't wait to build my mythical PC.

Had a fun night playing Small World Underground last night. I did the unthinkable an played a whole game with my starting race and came in second.

I got a bit further in Lollipop Chainsaw. It's still nuts but I'm finding that it suffers from Uncharted Hawaiian Shirt syndrome. What's UHSS? The annoying tendencies that enemies exhibit that tend to manifest by being able to shrug off overwhelming firepower/damage despite wearing nothing more protective than a hawaiian shirt or, in LC's case, a pair of jeans & a t-shirt.

It's also much like most games with lightsabres. I barely feel like the chainsaw (A CHAINSAW!) is even hitting most of the zombies unless I'm using my crazy sparkle rainbow attack or chopping down a door. my Pom-Pom attack feels more powerful right now.

I still like seeing how insane it is, so I'll stick with it a bit longer, but unless the combat starts feeling more powerful, I'll probably call it a day soon. I wish that they used a kind of Dynasty Warriors approach so I could just mow down hordes of baddies.

If you are passing on this, then i'm going to put this off my Gamefly Q for a bit. I have other stuff I want to play.

No worries! I ran late after DKR and early dinner date, so was more worried that I'd left you hanging. I'll be around tonight if you or ADD are around, but otherwise I'll be seeing your pretty little face soon.

It's not that bad but by the time I've be able to play things, it's a bit too late and I'm just not finding the rhythm of the combat to be terribly satisfying. I'm only 2 levels in though. If things are still feeling this stiff after level 3 then I'm giving it a pass but I am getting better moves already so there is hope.
