Holy Christ. I can't believe Sleeping Dogs is getting good reviews. I had crossed it off my list. Watched the first hour on youtube. I am there day one.

I loved the two episodes so far. Now I have to wait like a chump for more. Even though I can guess where some things are going, I love just how abrupt the nasty stuff can be. It comes out of the blue and then is over just as fast, but man, it reverberates for a while.

I took T&B for a spin. I love the music. I'm not sure if I really care about the story part of the game, but I was having a blast just slicing an entire level to bits, esp. when I'd play chicken as a giant slab of rock was falling at my head. I got squished once.

Cool art style too.

Do you mean literally 9-5 or just a normal 8 hr day that isn't 4 to mid or mid to 8 etc? I worked the 4 to midnight for a short time. I saw the advantages of it. I don't think it was something I could do with a family though. Really Spig, I don't know how you worked those insane shifts and still have a family intact.
We're just used to not seeing each other for extended periods of time. Hell, at this point in time, when we DO have a lot of time together, we're gnawing on each other like a pack of rabid dogs

And I was talking both the literal 9-5 (which is mostly what I've been working this week, though I've managed to still clock about 4-5 hours of overtime already) and the normal morning to supper kind of work day, like you see on Leave It To Beaver. I'm only two weeks into this new job and while I love just coming and going as I please (meetings aside), I really miss being able to just roll in at 3 in the afternoon and stay till midnight, or whatever. What I really want is my days off.

I get weekends off now though, so that's nice... \\

I'm planning to take off early tomorrow to watch Batman if I can. Hopefully the house will still be standing if I do that.

There is ALWAYS something to be said about work stability where you know you will come in and go at the exact same time. Through my life I have enjoyed and endured both. I can say for my own enjoyment I REALLY love working my 5-3 shift, or 630-5 shift. I love knowing that when I leave I leave.

I had a pretty regular shift before. It just involved more 12 hour days and more evenings.

Whatever the hours are that I work, I just love being able to waltz in when I feel like it now and leave when I've had enough THAT is what makes this new position worth whatever other headaches it may bring. Doesn't mean I won't be putting in some long days, but most of the time I get to choose when I go in instead of having to be there at a particular time. That's rather refreshing.

Plus I have Rainwave running in my office all day long, so I get to geek out while I write memos and such.

I am not sure...its that unusual to enjoy a job you can just walk into.

I'm sure everyone else loves structure. What I can I say? I enjoy chaos

My problem is packing up and going home at the end of the day. I usually just end up chatting with people and the next thing I know it's an hour later than I planned to be there.

No I meant it.
I truly don't think its unusual for someone to like what you like.

I used to love chaos but I found that I was always saddled with more duties because of that love. Quickly I found myself totally overwhelmed where a 12 hour day or the WORRY of a 12 hour day became totally normal.

It will be on sale at Xmas time. Even better then. I'll buy it then too with Spigot then we can go kill some undead together. I'm hoping Karak tags along to play chauffeur.

I saw you trying to stuff the ballot box in the Steam thread for The Walking Dead. How devious

Look in your Steam box. You might have a present waiting

I have some Gamestop credit. I thought about buying it actually. I liked what I was reading/seeing on the game.

Rails? The DAY/END threads don't need no stinking rails, they just meander like a drunk looking for a bench to flop down on~ Gorvi

Hell, 'derail'? This is like calling the surface of the sun 'warmish'. Somewhat lacking in appropriate magnitude~ Jpublic

That's too applied for my tastes. Math makes the most sense to me when it's reality bending abstraction. Or when it's evil~ Frederec

I am late to the party, but JJ Abrams had nothing to do with Fringe, post-greenlight. Also, the first season sucked.

Yup. I believe Brad revealed the big twist, though, in order to sell his argument. Minerva won, in the end, though I was a pretty big fan of Shadow Broker.
