What do you guys think of trying long distance relationships? (I know it has been somewhat covered before). And about seven years apart?

Basically she is the younger sister of a friend of mine but she lives about an hour and half away (until September), however she is in town pretty much every weekend. Then she is moving back to Toronto (a roughly 48 hour drive away, with no stops) to finish her degree.

Not sure where I am going with this. Basically her time to do stuff is limited so we have tentative plans for this weekend, I guess it will depend if she wants to make time to do something Sunday before heading back out of town (her other days are booked).

I guess my question is if she doesn't make the time Sunday is it worth trying to continue set stuff up? However, her sister (my friend) is having her birthday party the next weekend and I could see what happens then.

I am probably over thinking, a problem I have when I am pretty interested in a lady, this as on our first date I am pretty sure she had a good time. There may have been some making out.

I went to a family friend's 21st birthday tonight and she drunkenly proclaimed that her mom wanted us to hook up because it would be the perfect relationship. It's kinda true, but I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon. She's a very sweet girl and we get along great, but I've known her since she was like 6 and it's all kinds of weird to even think about.

I ended up giving her a kiss on a the cheek, telling her I lover her and going the hell home. That's enough for me.

I'm not putting a final "NO!" on that whole proposal, but I don't see it happening. It was technically the first time I've ever gave her a kiss, but it felt appropriate in the situation and I doubt she'll read anything into it. She was already kinda hammered and I wasn't far behind, so all is fair in drunken war. I really doubt her and I would work for a multitude of reasons, but it was a bit flattering and I'm way lonely currently, so I couldn't help myself.

Because uh...she might've had plans, and she might've been working.

On the other hand, some of the discussions she was having with her friend yesterday within clear earshot of myself (I literally was sitting right next to her, hard not to) made me question whether she even saw me as "there" in that way, you know?
