Don't knock a group full of mages/sorcs when they tandem cast Bolide.

Oh, I'm sure it's sick, but I'm sort of used to rolling with a fighter for aggro, a warrior for smashing, a mage/sorcerer for boom/support, and my main for range/dps.

Works really well, especially I'd we can immobilize something long enough for Xev to smash it.

Finally got further with this. Beat Salomet, fought an ostriche or something (which was great) and freed the duchess from the mansion. I'll forget that the duke first threw me in prison for thying to have sex with his wife and now he let me raid his treasury, guy has short term memory loss I guess.

Of to the wall again.

Dammit.

I joined the gen 96 ur dragon fight, right before the grace period. During the grace we managed to get all but one glow point before he flew off.

All I got for it was some random crap materials. :-(

I think I'm going to put this down for a while. I'm very disappointed in the NG+ mode - I was expecting harder monsters or something, not the same damned game.

So I'm torn. Do I farm Everfall for loot, or do I immediately turn in 20 wakestones, finish, and finally earn the Platinum Trophy?

Get the platinum. I'm not going to bother, but you should.

Ha, we are on the gen 50 Ur Dragon here.
I'm just going to farm this area before I go to NG+ and change my class to mage/sorceror. I'm tired of being envious of all the cool shit my pawns are casting.

Hey all, now that I've got the Platinum Trophy, I'm putting Dragon's Dogma to rest for a while. Thanks to everyone who used my Pawn

I may jump in to kick the Ur-Dragon in the ass every once in a while, however.

Edit: They really need to fix Affinity. I gave my Arisen's Bond to Mercedes, but Grigori kidnapped Aelinore and my "true" ending featured Madeleine. Ah well.

In the sequel, I want a basic "hit THAT" command for pawns. I was in the Chamber of Metal Golems and Wights and Other Assorted Bullshit, and got the amulets down to that single one that hovers out of jumping range. The ranger pawn with me (not Seline, some random ranger!) shot it a few times, one more arrow would have taken it out - but instead he ran around with his knives out for like ten minutes. Then the wight insta-killed him.

-_-

I ended up climbing up on top of the golem and leaping off its back when it got in range. It worked, it was awesome, but Maker's sake, man! Just shoot the damn thing!

ETA: I'm enjoying the Everfall a lot more this time around. I still hate the falling/navigating thing. How long does it take for stuff to respawn? All of a sudden I have an archydra kill task, but I already dead'ed it.

Yeah, I agree, sometimes they just don't do what I want. I had to kill 2 cyclopses and a lot of harpy's at once yesterday, one meteorshower would have gone a long way, but no, she starts single missing harpy's not from the sky.

Haha! Yes, when sorcerers are a little bit miserly with their "fuck you, and fuck everything else, too" spells, it's like... Aren't we precious? Rain death! C'mon. Please? RAIN DEATH ON MY ENEMIES.

Part of the charm of the game is herding the daft little ducklings, I'll admit. But in that moment... *shakes head*

I do appreciate that the game still lets you win in a situation like that. I would have been upset if I had to leave the chamber to equip my shield-boost skill or get another ranger.

Defeated Grigori, that was incredibly awesome for an endrun. Now to get on with the rest.

What a game!

OK, I'm a bit pissed.

I Killed the dragon that stole your heart and in doing so found out that at some point in the game you find yourself a lover... but it never says shit about it so you have absolutely no clue who it is. I knew you could get people to like you more by giving gifts and what not but falling in love was never mentioned which is kind of bullshit. I had a few people who had that weird chimey sound every time I talked to them but that's it. Any way, apparently the blacksmith and I fell in love at some point which is already annoying the crap out of me but worse, because of that there is no one left in Gran Sorin to enhance my equipment and the only weapon dealer is that gold digging blond chick (who, let's be honest here, I'd much rather be banging). Is there any way to remedy this without playing the whole damned game over again?

Also, Bethesda needs to take a few dozen pages from these guys on how to do combat as well as how to create an epic feeling and open RPG while still keeping everything balanced and interesting.

These guys could take a couple pages from Bethesda on how to create compelling side quests and how to build a slightly more diverse world.

They both need to hire significantly better character artists, preferably ones who are actually familiar with the physical form and bone structures (especially facial) of human beings and to a lesser extent better landscape texture artists.

That being said Dragon's Dogma, so far, is still in the top spot for RPG of the year. It's much better than Skyrim (which I also loved) and that's saying a lot considering I played Skyrim on the PC with all the bells and whistles turned on as well as with a shitload of awesome mods installed.
