That raises the question, are you stuck with the lower level gear available at that point in the story if you suddenly switch from Mage to Fighter (unless you had some stashed)?

Depends on the gear. The Abyssinal set is usable by all vocations, for example. However, if you are wearing vocational-specific gear, you're gonna be running around Gransys in your undies.

Yeah, I don't think gear is level locked, but instead locked by vocation. If you can owns it, you can wears it.

Besides, you don't sell armor in this game even if you can't wear it. Your horde it. Horde it all! *my precious*

Yeah, I don't sell gear (unless it's made of gold).

When you get to NG+, you can access your gear again at the encampment.

Oddly this game has instilled a very conservative sense of inventory in me. I don't carry anything unless absolutely necessary and only store what I can see to have a use later. Any weapons that I can level up with random monster drops, I do, then flog off for a pretty penny.

I sell everything I don't use right away (so many rpg's with chests full of loot I never touch, looks at Skyrim). But seeing as there's a new game plus I might save some stuff now.

I cleared the salvation catacombs and fought the griffin yesterday. Hot damn this game is all kinds of sexy. I think I'm using Xydarcs and JRR's pawns now, but haven't checked if it's really his. Hyatt is it?

Also played around with the pawn community stuff. But damn that browser on the ps3 takes ages.

Once you accept the Dukes decree (or whatever that is) how much left of the game is there? Is it worth doing all the job board "kill X amount of" quests before you talk to him? I don't want to lose access to all those quests only to realize I missed something important.

I think the only quests that go away are the Wyrm Hunt quests that Ser Whatever gives you. I finished all those (4 or 5 of them?) but went to the Duke with massive backload of notice board quests. As far as I can tell, I didn't lose any of those.

Vermillion, your Pawn is awesome and is a permanent member of my party.

I know I'm a bit behind but if any of you end up using Cellestte let me know what you think and how she can be improved if needed.

They're there for longer than a week, they are just releasing one every week for 8 weeks. I heard they were complete crap though so I wouldn't waste money on them. They are just a series of one ended fetch quests with no distinctive battles or events and as of now the items you find have no use. They just seem to be a convoluted way to buy a little extra experience and gold which, in my experience, really isn't needed. Leveling is cake and there are funner ways to do it than by running all over the map searching for useless items and unless gear quadruples in price after seeing the duke I've got more money than I can spend (over 900,000g) with a storage full of shit I can sell in a bind and I haven't even talked to the Duke yet so even if the game goes on a ways after that money shouldn't ever be an issue... at least not for me.

I am thinking of grabbing some of the weapon and armor packs, I know they are pretty much useless at this level stat wise but I think there are some pretty cool looking pieces there.

Yeah, I bought a bunch of those From a Different Sky ones, and all they are is item hunts. Go to location, find where the medal is, thats it.

Waste of money.

Cool, not buying it then. Completed the monk waterfall quest. Have some quests running in the city which kinda annoy me. Can't find the things or people to proceed. Running for the hill with the scared man now.

Also, massive cleavage on the blonde chick.

Yeah, I know, just wanted to try myslef first.

I've been avoiding nighttime battles for most of the game. But now that I've experienced one that's going to change. Stuff looks spectacular, meteorstrikes in the drak look awesome, fireblades, ghosts waving in and out, direwolves running in and out of the light. The game can look crappy in places but when it shines it really is unlike anything.

Also, best combat in a rpg ever.

Been on a roll. Defeated a golem (epic nightime battle), and defeated a chimera. Also had a battle with two cyclopses at once. But one was was already weakened with a ballista.

I've travelled all along the southern coastline, and further west where I finally stopped playing at the abbey. Going back to Grand Soren for some rest.

Dammit!

You know that quest you need to run back to the Blue Moon tower for?

Missed it.

Oh damn. Someone is actually using him!

I haven't played in 2-3 weeks because of my wedding, but trust me, at this point I will never, ever make him anything but a Sorc. He was briefly a Strider so I could wear his gear on my second Dragon kill (for the guaranteed DragonForge), but that's long since been fixed. During my first playthrough he unleashed a tornado just as the Dragon hit the ground and shredded at least 2/3 of the health pips at once.

He should be lv70, and every piece of gear should be DragonForged. If he isn't, you should definitely reload.

Got my UR Dragon kill today. At level 52. Even made the little plaque at the back of the battlefield. *cry* I'm so proud.

For those using Asuka, after the win today I started kitting her out in dragon blessed gear. I tried out fighter for a little bit, but think she's going back to warrior (especially now that I have that bad ass two handed light-bringer sword for my UR Dragon kill). I'm easy though, let me know if you want her tweaked.

Anyone know if the kill the 3 dragon types achievement is bugged? I killed the dragon in the south lake, I killed the dragon outside of the fort in the north, and I've killed the dragon that was in Everfall. But no achievement. Are there multiple dragon types in Everfall and I missed a room?
