The cure is to beat D3 a couple of times and then play something new. The game isn't that deep.

Spam comes in the form of friend requests with the add as a user name or character info which appears just under the username in the request. I was getting a few a week but I haven't gotten any so far this week.

My friend got the digital copy of D3 before this was placed into effect, but when they released the RMAH he had to wait 72 hours before he could sell on it. It was the maximum time frame that they gave him to wait, but I suppose it could be different for someone buying the game.

As far as spamming goes, I still get friend requests almost daily from people offering gold buying and power leveling. It doesn't bother me much though since I get satisfaction from reporting them.

What I find funny about all of this Diablo 3 rhetoric, is that many who complain about the game (not pointing any fingers here), have played it for hours upon hours, beaten the game on several difficulties and still say the game is crap. Yet, it was able to keep their attention long enough for them to play it. Yes, to some it may not beat other games. But as a game by itself, it sure seems like a lot of people are playing it and enjoying it.

I am still done with them. I prefer single player games and always will. I didn't need this game to be online and I couldnt care less about the RMAH. Such a waste. I don't mind a hoop or 2 to jump through to play a game but all of this has to stop.

Too bad it all has to boil down to money grubbing.
