I use to just use google listen. Maybe I don't know any better, but it did the job. All the matters to me.

I use the same, though I still have an old school iPod that I use most of the time. Listen gets the job done when I need it to, though. If I could get all the podcasts I listen to on there I'd probably use it exclusively since I wouldn't need to have an extra device, but for some reason I can't get Welcome to the Goo( Gamers Only Older) to add.

It is rumor as of this point, but MS already has apps on Android, no reason not to embrace the tablet niche. I know several in my office who would buy it day one if it is released.

You're basically best off with Onlive Desktop or Splashtop.

I'd buy it too if it was good. That was a sad thing I discovered when I got the transformer. Damn near a laptop and the word processors available are trash. I used splashtop to just use word on my home computer and saved the files to dropbox.

Even the google office tools were ass.

For those of you who make music, have an android phone and WANT a 2D touch controller, last semester I developed this

with a small team. You put the PC tool (Java) on your computer and the Android tool on your phone, and you can use WiFi or Bluetooth to connect them. You can do native filtering in the application, play midi devices through it, etc (that is the toy functionality) but more importantly, the PC tool can pass the on-screen coordinates as OSC (UDP) messages to whatever audio environment (Max/MSP, Ableton, etc) you are using, so long as it accepts OSC. Alternately, there are Max patches out there which are definitely free and will convert OSC messages into fully specified MIDI messages.

It's all free and open source and stuff. Enjoy.

Edit: Apparently we never updated the project homepage with some design changes. Audio is not streamed to the phone. The phone just sends touch coordinates to the PC tool, which if it handles audio at all does it in entirety. The project wiki should be more clear.

I'm finding myself increasingly preferring Firefox over Chrome on my tablet.

Chrome is still simply too goddamn buggy on the Transformer despite every update that's been released for it.

I don't like Firefox's ugly page rendering, but the fact it actually works, and the add-on support, are reason enough for me to want to switch.

On an unrelated note, the other day I also learned that Onlive for Android is compatible with wired 360 controllers, so if you've got a USB port on your tablet, you've basically got an Onlive console right there without having to spend extra on that ridiculous $60 Onlive pad.

Yea, I am not a huge fan of Firefox on my phone. The seems to render the regular pages, not the mobile version. Or it refuses to zoom into a page.

App wise, Nike+ has been released for Android.
