This game is amazing. I shot through a Nazi officer into a soldiers grenade, killing 5 nazis with one bullet.
One shot, one kill is for pussies. |

I hope I get to see something like that. Played for a few missions and had to do all kinds of tweaking to remove the console controls from my apparent PC port. Two games in a row with the slow moving vertical mouse and fast moving horizontal mouse movement. Feels like my mouse is broken when I can't look up or down with a crap. Also seems like the initial mouse movement is slowed intentionally. Am I seeing things?

The horizontal movement is a bit fast for me but I don't really have a problem with it and the vertical movement is fine... or at least I didn't notice anything.

Co-op is fun, but I wasn't feeling the multiplayer too much. You know that one camper in *insert online shooter here* that you really hate? Now there's a dozen of them on one map.

I ended up putting the mouse sensitivity down to about 1/4 of the bar on both of them. I bought this last night and started playing it on my new rig (with all settings maxxed, feels good man). The game is definitely fun, but sometimes I'll hit a Nazi right in center of mass and the guy just shrugs off the 30.06 round like nothing happened. Then other times I'll hit a guy in the thigh and get a slow-mo kill. Also, the inaccuracy and low power of all the other weapons that I've found so far is hilarious. I hit a guy right in the face with the silenced pistol and all it did was wake him up, like he got bit by a mosquito or something.

I have the vertical sensitivity set to twice that of the horizontal and that seems to fix it for me. At least this game gives me the option to separately change the sensitivity. Risen 2 does not. I guess I will have to play Risen 2 with the intended 360 controller.

Have yet to pull off any wicked multi kills, but I did get a nut shot. And I am certain it showed the dudes nuts exploding. That shot hurt me as little as well.

I beat it this afternoon instead of going to see Avengers. Even killed Hitler in the DLC.
Ton of fun this game. Do recommend.

Beat the game. Haven't tried the DLC.
I've noticed that at the highest difficulty levels, the guards' laserbeam vision is even worse. Very annoying, especially since it takes me more time to line up my shot at this level. Vanilla Deathmatch is a bag of dicks. Team Deathmatch is much more tolerable. I've only been able to try co-op once; not a lot of people seem to play it, but it's fun planning things out when it calls for it. Anybody up for some co-op on PC? |

Beat it as well this afternoon and while I had fun with it there are so many stupid little issues and bad design decisions I don't know if I would recommend the full game to anyone though I would highly recommend the demo. If they enjoy that then wait until the full game drops to $20 or below and then grab it.

I too am seeing some issues with this game that will effectively prevent me from playing through it more than once. Like spawning snipers. Annoying in general, but retarded when I was just in that building setting up trip wires everywhere. Then I move a few buildings over and am getting shot at from the very spot I rigged.
And for those of you wanting a stealth game, this is not it. There are few areas where stealth is even really allowed, and it never lasts long. At some point the game spawns guys on top of you and it is a firefight. You hit the main objective, then it seems you always have to shoot your way out and by then they all know you are there. It is cool that you can use loud noises to cover your shots though, but only is certain areas and for me, eventually someone sees a dead body and the gig is up. I wish the enemies spawning was not so obvious. It takes away from the otherwise realistic feel of the game. And yeah, enemy snipers. They ALWAYS get the drop on me, with their spawning BS and crack shots. They always know where I am and the only way I know where there are is to get shot at by them first. I never get the drop on one unless I know he is there because I respawned. I have also found little use for many of the items. Tripwires seem to be the most useful besides grenades. But mines, rocks, dynamite, and binoculars? Hardly need them. And besides nut shots, nothing really worth talking about. I have not had the pleasure in taking out more than 2 guys with one shot. I feel like I am missing out.

Wrapped this up. The Hitler level was not all that great. Overall a fun game. I would say it is worth about $20 or less though. It does sniping very well. The AI and the spawning are what take away from the immersion. The spawning snipers were getting very noticeable and annoying in the last several levels.

Looks like multi only improvements. I wonder if they plan to make any tweaks to the single player portion.

I could swear they tweaked the scoring. It seems like I'm not getting nearly as many points for stealth Welrod kills anymore.
