This game is amazing. I shot through a Nazi officer into a soldiers grenade, killing 5 nazis with one bullet.

One shot, one kill is for pussies.

I hope I get to see something like that. Played for a few missions and had to do all kinds of tweaking to remove the console controls from my apparent PC port. Two games in a row with the slow moving vertical mouse and fast moving horizontal mouse movement. Feels like my mouse is broken when I can't look up or down with a crap. Also seems like the initial mouse movement is slowed intentionally. Am I seeing things?

I didn't seem to have any problems...playing on the PC myself.

The horizontal movement is a bit fast for me but I don't really have a problem with it and the vertical movement is fine... or at least I didn't notice anything.

Co-op is fun, but I wasn't feeling the multiplayer too much. You know that one camper in *insert online shooter here* that you really hate? Now there's a dozen of them on one map.

It definitely didn't feel like I wanted it to by default, but to me all the mouse controls were too sensitive. I usually tweak the mouse speed down on most games for whatever reason. There is also an option for mouse acceleration, which I left on for now but might turn off.

I ended up putting the mouse sensitivity down to about 1/4 of the bar on both of them.

I bought this last night and started playing it on my new rig (with all settings maxxed, feels good man). The game is definitely fun, but sometimes I'll hit a Nazi right in center of mass and the guy just shrugs off the 30.06 round like nothing happened. Then other times I'll hit a guy in the thigh and get a slow-mo kill.

Also, the inaccuracy and low power of all the other weapons that I've found so far is hilarious. I hit a guy right in the face with the silenced pistol and all it did was wake him up, like he got bit by a mosquito or something.

Yeah, I haven't played much but have been noticing similar situations. I swear I will hit a guy in the chest and he will stumble a bit then the next shot finished him off with a shot to the foot in slow motion.

I have the vertical sensitivity set to twice that of the horizontal and that seems to fix it for me. At least this game gives me the option to separately change the sensitivity. Risen 2 does not. I guess I will have to play Risen 2 with the intended 360 controller.

Have yet to pull off any wicked multi kills, but I did get a nut shot. And I am certain it showed the dudes nuts exploding. That shot hurt me as little as well.

I beat it this afternoon instead of going to see Avengers. Even killed Hitler in the DLC.

Ton of fun this game. Do recommend.

Beat the game. Haven't tried the DLC.

I've noticed that at the highest difficulty levels, the guards' laserbeam vision is even worse. Very annoying, especially since it takes me more time to line up my shot at this level.

Vanilla Deathmatch is a bag of dicks. Team Deathmatch is much more tolerable. I've only been able to try co-op once; not a lot of people seem to play it, but it's fun planning things out when it calls for it.

Anybody up for some co-op on PC?

Beat it as well this afternoon and while I had fun with it there are so many stupid little issues and bad design decisions I don't know if I would recommend the full game to anyone though I would highly recommend the demo. If they enjoy that then wait until the full game drops to $20 or below and then grab it.

I too am seeing some issues with this game that will effectively prevent me from playing through it more than once. Like spawning snipers. Annoying in general, but retarded when I was just in that building setting up trip wires everywhere. Then I move a few buildings over and am getting shot at from the very spot I rigged.

And for those of you wanting a stealth game, this is not it. There are few areas where stealth is even really allowed, and it never lasts long. At some point the game spawns guys on top of you and it is a firefight. You hit the main objective, then it seems you always have to shoot your way out and by then they all know you are there. It is cool that you can use loud noises to cover your shots though, but only is certain areas and for me, eventually someone sees a dead body and the gig is up.

I wish the enemies spawning was not so obvious. It takes away from the otherwise realistic feel of the game. And yeah, enemy snipers. They ALWAYS get the drop on me, with their spawning BS and crack shots. They always know where I am and the only way I know where there are is to get shot at by them first. I never get the drop on one unless I know he is there because I respawned.

I have also found little use for many of the items. Tripwires seem to be the most useful besides grenades. But mines, rocks, dynamite, and binoculars? Hardly need them.

And besides nut shots, nothing really worth talking about. I have not had the pleasure in taking out more than 2 guys with one shot. I feel like I am missing out.

Wrapped this up. The Hitler level was not all that great. Overall a fun game. I would say it is worth about $20 or less though. It does sniping very well. The AI and the spawning are what take away from the immersion. The spawning snipers were getting very noticeable and annoying in the last several levels.

So this received a patch over the weekend.

Quote:
Hi Guys,

Just had word from Steam the latest update is now live. This comes with the below fixes for PC, and two new multiplayer maps.

To check your version number, its bottom right of Options screen - should read 1.03.

Enjoy!
Steve

SEv2 Update 1.03: 11th May 2012

- Fixed failure to progress beyond the lobby in peer games after playing a dedicated server game.
- Player names in lobby chat are no longer coloured according to the player's current team.
- Player HUD now hidden on death.
- Dedicated server - max players can now be set before adding any maps to the rotation.
- Kill notifications should no longer occasionally show the wrong victim or killer.
- Wind now correctly disabled when set to None in the server settings.
- A new best shot score or best shot distance in an individual session will no longer overwrite the best for all sessions (unless it is the best overall).
- When dead in multiplayer, input in the game menu will no longer be used to respawn the player.
- Multiplayer server list now populates while searching, instead of only when the search completes.
- Multiplayer game time now only starts when the warmup time has elapsed.
- Fixed player getting stuck in the carrying pose if a body is dropped while falling.
- Fixed corruption of player stats after multiple leaderboard updates.
- Attempting to join a passworded server through the Steam overlay or friend invites will now bring up the password entry box.
- Player connection and disconnection notices now shown in the chatbox.
- Various optimisations for people experiencing lower framerates in the full game than in the demo.
- Distance King kill notifications now show the correct score for the game mode instead of the single player score.
- Fire in the Church map will no longer cause instant death on one-hit-kill servers.
- Improved performance/FPS across "Church" multiplayer map.
- Added "-60Hz" command line option to force a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz, for users who find the game always boots into an unsupported resolution in fullscreen mode.
- All unlocked levels are now available in the co-op lobby screen, to resolve progression blocker after Flak Tower.
I'll have to try this out later on.

Looks like multi only improvements. I wonder if they plan to make any tweaks to the single player portion.

I could swear they tweaked the scoring. It seems like I'm not getting nearly as many points for stealth Welrod kills anymore.
