Also, we don't know that an Elder Scrolls MMO won't be awesome.

I was really looking forward to a multiplayer Skyrim game that took place across all of Tamriel. I thought for sure the inclusion of the entire continent inside the code of Skyrim was a sure sign that they were working on an engine that could let people travel anywhere.
A first-person online, multiplayer, fantasy adventure with massive amounts of detail would be a dream come true.

I was hoping more Skyrim with co-op play myself.
Just build a Skyrim type TES game, but allow for drop in co-op fun. God it would be awesome.

Most people think BGS will shift to Fallout 4 after they finish up the Skyrim DLC stream. So best case scenario we're about 5 years away from an all new traditional Elder Scrolls game. Since ESO is being made by a different studio, I doubt it's development will affect BGS much. Maybe if there's a bit of story or characterization in ESO then the main team will fold elements of it back into the next Elder Scrolls game, but beyond that I don't see one impacting the development of the other all that much.
