You choose allies. But they have various positives and negatives so many people switch them out a great deal.

I played the demo and watched that playthrough video. I ended up ordering the game. A few glitches, but I had a blast playing the demo.

If I wasn't so busy with other games and summer fun, this game would be a day one purchase. It really looks like a great game and the Game Informer review had nothing but good things to say about it. I'll have to keep an eye out for a sale this summer.

Played the demo, and I fell in love with it, I don't think there is any other game where I can pick up a ally and biff him off a cliff, fantastic!

Shame there is no coop online, really weird that Capcom didn't think about that, still the pawn system is pretty neat, going to be seeing a lot of Conan and other fantasy characters online .

It would kinda destroy what they're trying to do with it. Cause what I saw from the demo is you have one main protagonist (there's a story there) and the diversity is in the pawns which are like cards in a deck you can swap around. With co-op the swapping would get meaningless and maybe with all the pawns running around as well the game just would get clusterfucked even more.

I think it's a great decision to have something special without turning into yet another mainstream setup. Like Dark Souls having this anonymous co-op without voice. It made the game better and more unique, (I don't care what anyone else says, it's part of the charm). I'm buying it just because I want to support new ideas like that and the reviews I read were positive.

Reviews are all over the place. the real divider is Play. However their reviews are always all over the place so not sure what to think about that.

If not just going by the numbers and reading the actual reviews they skew wildly. Which I think does indeed backup what you said.

The reviews say they are cheese based. As in for no reason and so forth. But then the game returns to a normal difficulty base. Sounds like particular encounters are not balanced perfectly. I am still fine by that Though I did read a ton about 1 hit kills on your character. That could anger me.

Yep. One of the videos that sold me on this game for sure. The boss battles are epic and even the normal battles look like other games boss battles.

See You Next Wednesday from Neogaf posted this tidbit concerning armor/weapons and total counts in the game.

A grand total of 202 unique weapons, including swords, hammers, bows & staffs.
I couldn't count all the armor sets because they weren't all grouped together, but I did count the helmets individually.
There are a total of 71 unique helmets/headsets in the game.
Assuming the chestplate, leggings & greaves all go with them that should be 70+ full armor sets (which seemed like it).
I did not count the generic stuff like peasant clothing & the generic cloths, which would add even more to the total.

There are also a total of 32 unique shields also in the g

In addition there is up to 8 layers of clothing-
Romance options in the main story but none with random NPC's or Pawns
No rain/snow but you do have differing weather
35 hours for the main quest if taking your time, around 200 if you do the sidequests
Classes have specific enemy reactions. Warrior can use people as a living shield, others can pin enemies to the ground and stab them, others can toss or trip enemies
Warrior is the toughest class to play on a scale of 1-10 its a 10 with the others falling around 7 and below
The land map is mirrored underground and in dungeons at ALMOST a 1-1 scale meaning the two areas combined are very large
Enemies do not scale
Weight, Hieght and scale all matter in small and large ways. Heavier female characters deal with different issues than lighter female or male characters.
NPC interaction is JRPG style (quick and dirty)
