I did, it feels a lot like Sands of Time, which is both a good and a bad thing. I loved Sands of Time, but it doesn't really feel like something new. Playing through it as Ezio (well, Prince dressed as Ezio anyway) doesn't really help either, it just reminds me of how awesome ACII was compared to this. Also, some of these falls shouldn't kill me, I hate it when they kill me just because the game doesn't want me on the ground. The only thing good about it is that it stops me from actually falling through the level, which happened twice in the 4-5 hours that I've played the game today (in areas where I'm supposed to be on the ground, ready to fight a bunch of enemies after a short cut-scene).
I like it and it brings back happy PoP:SoT memories, but it's definitely more of a rental. I guess you could play through it a few times depending on which abilities you upgrade first, but I haven't really seen a level that I'd love to play over and over again so far. Also, they throw a ton of enemies at you. Which is kind of cool. |

Hows the character voice? Did Nolan North do this too?

No complaints with the voice-acting, but it feels like a SOT re-tread without the cleverness and polish. Combat is still God-awful. And collision detection in that combat is actually far, far worse. Your swords and limbs clip through the environment all the time.
The platforming that was so fresh and new and powered by the Time Rewind gimmick, is not so fresh and new seven years later -- now without the rewinding. I loved the Rewind. It was a Do-Whatever-You-Want card. It encouraged reckless exploration which played a big part in making it all fun. There's a reason these Sands were Forgotten. |

It auto-rewinds or something?
I liked PoP 08, even though most of the platforming consisted of holding forward and pressing A, it had the right direction for everything else. The bits I have seen for Forgotten Sands look a little bit too Brown. |

I think they're referring to Sands of Time?

I don't think you can blame this game for looking brown though, considering the setting.

The brownness is huge personal complaint. Anyone who has been to Persia/Iran knows it's a complete mischaracterization to make it seem like it's one expansive desert. I'm not going go into my colonial-orientialist tirade, but it shows a disconcerting lack of awareness, disregard for accuracy and no imagination. This game is exactly what you would expect with a movie tie-in. |

As a fan of the series I'm tempted to pick it up but I feel I got burned badly with the last release. They halved the retail price after about two weeks. I will not make the same mistake again
