Beaver Dam Visible from Space

Beaver Dam.

Visible from Space.

The 2790 ft. long beaver dam, built (where else) in Canada, is over twice as long as the Hoover Dam, the world's largest man-made dam at 1244 feet long. (Though both will be dwarfed by the Three Gorges Dam when it opens, at 7661 ft.)

Oh, I thought it was just the spots the arrows were pointing to... suppose that makes more sense, though. (I'd RTFA, but Slashdot just keeps re-loading.)

Original Sun (UK) story here.

Maybe it's just along that line, not the whole brown area from the first image.

They'll probably have their own show on History/Discovery/TLC within the month. Deforestation is all the rage now.

But beavers are busy building their own houses.

I'll apologize in advance.

This is why communal animals will always be cooler than loners in my book. Thanks for sharing.
