Is this basically that Battletech MMO that never launched from like 10 years ago? Factions fighting matches to win territory?

That recent video actually makes me want to be a scout. I typically like faster games, and I could be helpful for the team's radar at the same time!

@Reverant: that sounds amazing. I've always loved the concept of fighting over territory. Even the way the Soul Calibur 2 arcade cabinet did it was addictive.

That video got me to buy the Legendary pack (along with a little peer pressure, though, who am I kidding, they weren't my peers).

I was really impressed with the brief clip of the light mech dashing around. I can actually see being able to survive based solely on agility, speed and surprise if they can get around like that.

edit: Also, it was really cool how much larger that assault mech was... Actually running around the legs of a giant mech is really cool to me. I guess you really never got to do that in the other games, because it usually matched you against similar classes. At least I don't remember doing anything like that.

If you check out Youtube there is a Beta Leak video floating around, seven minutes worth. I made me thankful I had a Legendary purchase.

Yeah, that video was hot... Seemed a little floaty at times, but it definitely looked like fun. I wonder if dropping on enemy mechs will hurt them. The guy in the video came pretty close to jump-jetting on top of one of the enemies, and I was wondering if that's what he was trying to do.

I really like the sound of the pulse lasers as well, and there were lots of pretty explosion and light effects.

Also I wanna see something unloved like medium mechs or a rifleman.

Medium mechs are announced. Like the cicada, centurion, hunchback and trebuchet. the rifleman will never been in the game. It's one of the "unseen". Also its a piece of shit.

That do you think I meant by unloved? Though I did forget about the rifleman being unseen.

BTW, anyone else think they made the Jagermech look like the Rifleman? I guess they were always kinda similar...but at any rate they did a good job in making one of the ugliest and stupid looking mechs look good.

It kicks ass, the sound of the engine humming, the foot steps, taking damage...very immersive and the mechs have never looked cooler. Few things need fixing though...

1. Mechs need to EXPLODE when they die. Everyone knows when a robot dies, It blows up.
2. Smooth "scaling-style" (IDK what you'd call it) throttle ala Mech 3 / WoT.

So fucking jealous, but I'm very glad to hear positive reviews.

Ooo...my brother loved the Spider, if I recall correctly. I'll have to inform him.

Its so cool looking in the game. I recall watching a guy using a centurion armed with 3 SRM 6's and 2 small lasers that was just kicking ass. all torso based.
