After an unannounced by-week last Saturday, we're back in full force here for another amazing and super spectacular Story Saturday.

I'm currently preparing a sci-fi novel for submission in Amazon's Breakthrough Novel competition, and this week's tale is an excerpt. I'm not in much of a setup mood, so I now present the chapter titled...

Cheers! It's story time again, and this week I'm shifting gears a little bit. I'm setting the absurdist humor aside temporarily, in favor of something with a slightly harder edge.

Today's story is actually the prologue of a novel I'm writing called I Vanish. It's intended to run before the title page, and (somewhat experimentally) uses the title as part of its text. I hope that makes sense when you get to it.

Welcome to the second crazy installment of Story Saturdays here on my unnamed blog. Today, we'll be taking a look at another piece which (like last week's) was written for my collection of bizarre stories, Maximillian Bonaventure and the Travels on Foot.

This story introduces the eponymous Maximillian Bonaventure, the only recurring character in the collection, whose travels by foot reveal a strange and sometimes worrying America that he never could have imagined.

I keep thinking I should do something with this blog, but I've been at a loss in figuring out precisely what that something should be. For lack of any better ideas, I've decided to start posting some short fiction and story excerpts. Why not, right?
