Over the past couple of weeks I've been playing through Fable 2 again (I think this is the 3rd time for me). In a lot of was Fable 2 reminds of KOTOR, in that it's a game with a ton of flaws, and yet I'm mostly willing to overlook those flaws in order to get at what lies beneath them.
For starters, the menu system in Fable is atrocious. Not only is it slow and laggy (there's really no excuse for not having at least 30fps in your menu system), but its organization is terrible, and...

COG is now blocked at my place of work (where I do the vast majority of my posting from). I may be a bit scarce around here for a while.

Ok, so I've got a stack of games a foot high at home and about 3 weeks before classes start in which I have some semblance of free time to try and tackle them. Over the next 21 days I'm going to try and finish off as many of the following games as I can.
Civilization Revolution
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
World of Goo
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Puzzle Quest
Far Cry 2
Fallout 3
Left 4 Dead
Sins of a Solar Empire...

So my last post, back in November, was about how I wouldn't be purchasing any games this holiday season. As of this moment, I've recently picked up Farcry 2, Viva Pinata: TIP, Civ Rev, and Dead Space since that post. To make matters worse I'm seriously considering jumping on the $40 Prince of Persia deal on Amazon today, and wondering if I order a DS and Chrono Trigger will they get here by the time I leave for my parents place for Christmas. So much for all of that.

February.
That's when I've decided I'm going to buy my next game. Actually, maybe even March. It's not that there aren't any games out that I'm not interested in. There are tons. I just can't bring myself to pay $60 for any of them. Frugality seems to be a increasingly important aspect to my gaming hobby. I believe the last game I paid a full $60 for was MGS4, which I promptly sold upon finishing it.
I just find it very difficult to pay $60 for a game, when I...
