Thanks for the comment on my avatar. I'm going to try and change it every once in awhile with a new good cosplay pic. I agree, the shot did a good job capturing the character. The full size version of the pic is in the cosplay thread if you're interested (and brave enough).

Thanks for the awesome gallery of Valkyria Chronicles images. It's the game I'm looking forward to most this year and the thread I looked at most on EvAv. Now I don't have to go back for it.

I wish SimCity 4 weren't so crash-happy.
Just lost three years of development (normal speed), an 4000 population. Game froze up trying to save.
Started up a brand new region a couple nights back. Got the city to ~15,000 that night, ~25,000 last night, and was up to ~36,000 tonight. But re-loading after the game froze, and I was back down to a bit over 32,000.
Wanted to start from square zero and build a high-population city, but bugs like this (in a...

Yes, not Netflix, Blockbuster Online. If this sounds crazy to you, my reasoning:
- I've used them in the past, and was reasonably pleased with the service.
- Choosing one of the By Mail plans, it's the same price as Netflix. I don't have any local Blockbuster stores, so I wouldn't use the in-store rentals/exchanges offered in their premium plans.
- Free upgrade to Blu-ray, where Netflix is $3 more per month (amount varies by plan).
- My internet isn't fast enough for Netflix streaming.

Retiring my previous blog post, starting a new one for the games I'm watching in 2010 (and beyond).
This time, I'm going to try something different. Game titles will be listed in different font sizes, based on my general interest in each game. Larger font = more interested. Games in red I have pre-ordered or purchased.

Y'know what I miss? Chuck. The NBC series. I know it's coming back next year (January, looks like), but I'm ready for it to be back now. The corny nerd humor, the apple product placement, the awkward can't-blow-my-cover plot devices, Jeffster, all of it. Once it's back, I can, at least for a while, watch Adam Baldwin on Chuck and Nathan Fillion on Castle.
What other Firefly alums am I missing on TV? I know Summer Glau was on Sarah Connor Chronicles, then some on Dollhouse, neither...
