This bullshit of boxed copies of games that require Steam needs to stop.

I just picked up Dawn of War II today and much to my surprise, after putting the disc in, it requires Steam to play. Since when the fuck did this happen? I knew the damn game was available on Steam, but not this. If I want to have a game associated with my Steam account, then I buy it through fucking Steam. The entire point of buying a box copy is I don't have to deal with Steam.

...or maybe I just have a keen eye.

While get caught up on the news this morning I came across this gem.

Now my current bathroom reading happens to be the Zombie Survival Guide and I couldn't help but notice this story is exactly the type to watch for as noted in the guide. Someone attacks a fellow shipmate with an axe to the head for unexplained reasons? Everyone involved refuses medical treatment?

I think I'll be going over the checklists this weekend....

I got tricked into buying hippy sandals! Ok, not so much tricked as I was completely oblivious to the tag on the straps that said Hemp.

Hey look at that. I can blog here now. One more blog to add to the pile of various blogs I have. Ah well, time to kick back and continue to enjoy the three day weekend.
