Yes I know it's cliche but it's the truth.

I have 8 days before I ship to Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. That means next Tuesday will be my official first day of being a PFC in this man's Army.

I've come to know a great many of you guys and gals over the last few years, and the support I've gotten on twitter and face book have been awsome!

And with the ability to use my phone at BCT (hopefully) or through Drill Sargents keeping a FB log (some of them do),...

So far a few of my fellow Coggers have been privy to my plans, which started back when I offered to mail out the care packages to JPC.

The step I've taken is that of joining the United States Army. I've already got my MOS, which is
M1 ABRAMS Tank System Maintainer (91A).

So I get home after work tonight, and add more things to the collection of boxes and items for JPC and his platoon, where upon I decide to watch some netflix, only to find my xbox red ringing on me.

So my gen 1 console finally decided to kick the bucket.. I think.. It's RRoDed on me once then fixed itself.. some how.. but I'll give it 24 hours before officially calling it.. but until now .. it's stands at the RRoD claiming another system.

Alright waaay back in Feb., I posted a New Years resolutions blog.

Well here's what happened so far.

1. School screwed me over in a rather long and boring story which in the short is that my Canadian highschool transcript must be verified via a third party before the local community college will accept it. Therefore I'm going to write my A+ certification test in October.

Alright so I know it's an odd title, but as I sit here in the slowly filling shell of a friends soon to be Lan/Gaming lounge to be called Defcon850, I can't help but notice how cool black lights can be.

And when I say LAN/Gaming lounge I mean just that, it's going to be a hydra of a lounge, with the ability to open up to more than just gaming.

I'm not fully sure where the Defcon in the name came from, but the 850 is from the area code for pretty much all of the Florida...
