Spigot

Yeah, it's a bit sad. I used to try and get something out at least every 1-2 weeks. Generally I'm pretty busy and after I started doing the Media Create post last March, it seemed to take away the time I had been spending doing a blog post (not entirely logical I know). Plus I was probably getting a bit fatigued with it.

The one entry I regret not getting out was about a mother and 2 daughters. One daughter was a hikikomori, one who can't leave their home or room due to social and / or psychological pressures. The other daughter who I spoke with lives away from home for study. But, video games make up one of the main forms of interaction between them. She explained how they spent hours together on the Dragon Quest IX online mode and quoted figures of total gameplay time of 100 hrs for her, 200 hrs for her sister, and 300 hrs for her mother!

An interesting but kind of sad tale.

I'm taking this week off for TTS. I'm going on about 36 hours or so without sleep and I spent my writing juices doing a review for CoG, so I'm going to wait until I recharge before I write the next TTS article. Don't worry though. I've got 3 or 4 games already drafted and should avoid this scenario in the future.

Might not get this week's TTS up today. I was out of town doing the family visits and still haven't managed to get the kids to bed. I'll do my best but it'll likely go up tomorrow.

Just a heads-up in case I don't get the TTS finished today. I got a brand new PC the other day and might be basking in its unbridled power for a day or two. Fear not! TTS will be up either Sunday or Monday, procrastination notwithstanding.

Due to my wanting to play some games, still feeling a bit run down and general laziness, you'll all have to wait until next week for the Fear Effect 1 & 2 write-up!

Working on the Fear Effect TTS entries. Might not have them up tonight though... I think I'm coming down with the flu that's making the rounds.

Oh, I'm definately going to do them. I need to play them more first. I have the first one for sure... not sure about the second. One of these days!
