No, it died right after, but I'm considering carrying it on. I'd just need the time/energy to write a nice primer to the topic so everyone has the same glossary of terms. A lot of people have periphery knowledge on the subject, especially someone like you in psychology and someone like burger who is studying AI (I assume by that he means simply a Turing imitation), but you might consider philosophy the glue to stick it all together. And like any field it has its own technical language that can bog down conversation if not properly explained.

That was an excellent response to burger about the singularity and AI. Did that conversation ever go anywhere? I used it as a springboard for study topics and would love to read more. I had a lot of the same issues with the situation they were describing, but as a Psych student I lacked the appropriate technical reference knowledge to voice them in any context. If you guys kept that conversation going in another thread or anything, can you point me to it?
